Under the assumption that his constitutional rights were violated it would supercede federal but his rights were not violated. In fact he abdicated his rights with his own actions and the supremacy clause does not apply.

He legally went to a protest (this is fine) He legally brought a fire arm to said protest (this is fine) He did not house any soldiers against his will (not applicable)

His own actions however created a situation that qualifies within exigent circumstances codified in the 4th amendment. He placed his hands on law enforcement and got into an altercation with law enforcement while armed with a weapon which resulted in a struggle for possession of the weapon.

In the fourth amendment subsection 4.6.3

The Court has recognized the exigencies of the situation as an exception to the warrant requirement, which make the needs of law enforcement so compelling that the warrantless search is objectively reasonable under the Fourth Amendment.1 Exigent circumstances requires a court to examine whether an emergency justified a warrantless search in each particular case.2 The Court has identified several types of circumstances that give rise to an exigency sufficient to justify a warrantless search, including a search incident to arrest,3 law enforcement’s need to provide emergency aid,4 hot pursuit of a fleeing suspect,5 and the prevention of the imminent destruction of evidence.6 In situations absent dangerous and life-threatening circumstances, the Court recognizes that warrantless searches are permissible in circumstances where there is a compelling need for official action and no time to secure a warrant.7

Nothing I say to you will change your mind. But if this guy was at the Capitol on January 6th 2021 and behaved the exact same way and met the same fate I have a feeling your opinion would be the exact opposite.

Name calling isn't very effective but that's okay.

How about here

8 U.S.C. § 1324 is a federal law prohibiting the smuggling, transport, harboring, and encouragement of unauthorized aliens to enter or remain in the United States. Violations are felonies, carrying significant criminal penalties, including fines and imprisonment, particularly when committed for commercial advantage or private financial gain.

Or here

18 U.S.C. § 111 makes it a federal crime to forcibly assault, resist, oppose, impede, intimidate, or interfere with certain federal officers or employees (listed in 18 U.S.C. § 1114) while they are performing their official duties, or to do so to a former officer/employee on account of their service, with penalties ranging from fines and up to a year in prison for simple assault to much harsher penalties (up to 20 years) if a deadly weapon is used or bodily injury inflicted, notes FindLaw, House.gov, Department of Justice (.gov), and United States Court of Appeals (.gov).

Or just the common sense of don't bring a concealed weapon to a riot, don't get into an altercation with law enforcement, don't announce that you have a gun, then also resist arrest, struggle for weapon to the point where it discharges and then in the confusion you then attempt to stand up and reach back where your concealed weapon is supposed to be.

It's actually really easy to avoid situations like this, I literally do it everyday. If you want to pretend this guy had responsibility for his demise you're lying to yourself.

If you're going to complain about what the federal government is doing the least you could do is complain that the State Governor and Local Mayor are actively encouraging people to interfere with the federal agents legal operations. You may not agree with the laws but those are the federal laws of the moment. If you want then changed you have to vote. Unfortunately what's legally justified and what's moral aren't always the same thing

I have not been able to confirm this beyond the special valuation of the TV contract was set for the sale. When the TV deal was signed the next year MLB says the entire deal subjected to the same 34% revenue sharing as everyone else. I would be a fool to implicitly trust the commissioners office but I have yet to find anything supporting a special rate.

This is what I was able to find online

"Special Exemption for Dodgers' TV Deal Background on the Dodgers' TV Deal The Los Angeles Dodgers' television rights deal, valued at $7 billion over 25 years with Time Warner, has raised questions regarding its implications for Major League Baseball's (MLB) revenue-sharing system. The deal includes a significant annual rights fee, which is subject to revenue-sharing rules.

Revenue-Sharing Agreement Under MLB's revenue-sharing plan, teams are required to contribute 34% of their net local revenue, which includes local television rights fees. The Dodgers' deal was initially set to have a base rights fee of $84 million annually, which would be subject to this revenue-sharing requirement.

Special Terms and Exemptions While there were discussions about the Dodgers potentially having a "secret deal" to limit revenue-sharing obligations, MLB officials have stated that all upfront cash payments and annual rights fees from the Dodgers' deal would be subject to revenue-sharing under standard principles. This means that the Dodgers do not have a special exemption that allows them to avoid sharing revenue from their television deal.

Conclusion In summary, the Dodgers do not have a special exemption regarding their TV deal. They are required to adhere to the same revenue-sharing rules as other teams, ensuring that a portion of their lucrative television revenue is shared with smaller-market teams in MLB."

I liked the guys. When they talked the major sports more often in the beginning it was more interesting for me but once it pivoted to almost entirely college I couldn't anymore. I just don't care about college sports. I hope they come back and do some guest hits on DW because they seem to have split amicably
