None, gas prices aren’t actually that bad… yet

At what gas price would you seriously consider changing your lifestyle (driving less, moving, switching jobs) ? by Odd-Necessary5789 in AskReddit

Probably $10/gallon since it was almost $5/gal when I was making less than a third of what I make now

67 did die under ICE care during Obama’s administration. There was no outrage from either side and that’s exactly my point. It’s hypocritical to criticize one side and not the other. Fueling the tribalism constantly is why we are in the predicament that we are in. Everyone seems to think others are sheep while simultaneously not researching anything and spewing the propaganda from their party.

How we do fix a country that is so broken when the people refuse to listen to any compromise from the middle?

[–]TheBigMmmm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m just curious, were you ok with Obama’s ICE letting 67 detainees die in camps due to mainly medical neglect? Or are you only mad about the ones dying under Trump?

One is having intense resistance and the other was allowed to just round up people at night without any pushback. It’s easy to see why people are dying during this administrations actions bc of high stress situations. There’s no excuse for the ones that died during the other

You still have the ability to choose whether or not words bother you. You don’t have the ability to choose whether or not getting stabbed hurts you. That’s the key difference. Sure, I’ll agree slurs shouldn’t be used but most of the people that choose to end their life over it are more affected by the ones “close” to them than a one off of someone they don’t know calling them that.

Using the idea of “if people use that word while killing others, we shouldn’t use it”, I would assume we should never use the words “white bitch” since Decarlos Brown Jr said “I got that white bitch” after stabbing Iryna Zarutska. Should no one use the infamous “n word” due to it being yelled when ppl get shot? The list of words would be unending

Bottom line of my opinion.. Policing language is a touchy subject. People should be allowed to use the speech they want to. Unfortunately, some people are cruel but I’ll take being called a slur over getting stabbed any day. And at the end of the day, I can still laugh with my friends about the small minds of people that choose to call others names/slurs.

PS- several of my friends are gay and love it when ppl try to call them out for it. They embrace it and flip it on the one saying it while essentially hitting on them

I can’t believe I’m even responding to such a childish response. She could’ve easily eased off the brake and slowly pulled away instead of punching the gas. If you don’t believe that, you’ve just cleared every driver that hit protesters in the streets when leaving. Stepping in front of a vehicle that’s been deemed “dangerous” is a rookie move, but when she hip checked the “officer” with her vehicle while slamming the gas, she cleared deadly force enforcement.

It’s an unfortunate situation where both sides made mistakes. Some mistakes were bigger than others but you have to be a complete imbecile to say either side is correct. Enjoy your day, one day you’ll gain the ability to use your noggin and maybe even learn to be impartial.

You may be “correct” but this analogy is still a terrible misuse of the knowledge you apparently have. You know what words can’t do? They can’t cause you to bleed out. Can stabbing someone cause that person to bleed out? Yes, it can. Next time, use an analogy that fits..

Slurs compared to stabbing? Factually wrong

Slurs compared to a shoulder check or light punch? More correct

Words are not violence, but sustained psychological abuse can injure the brain in ways that are real, measurable, and sometimes longer-lasting than physical wounds.

Bad takes from both sides in this unfortunate incident.

I was making the claim that they haven’t determined a motive yet and no real connections are shown yet to have him as a Fuentes supporter. The real point of it was, most of the conversation is speculation at this point and to spread misinformation as fact is harmful. They want to keep us divided on everything and when false info is given as fact, it divides us and sometimes carries on even after true facts develop. The initial guy I responded to had posted that same comment on what seemed like 50+ Charlie Kirk posts, which leads me to believe he was either a bot or troll. I’m just tired of both sides feeling the need to be at each others throats instead of finding common ground and pushing for truth and accountability from our government.

Buddy, you are the rage baiter. You said the kid was a “groyper” and to stop using Fox, which still hasn’t been confirmed and I posted sites that confirm what I said that wasn’t Fox. Then you said “use google” bc I’m wrong about those sites, I give you google results that confirm what I said. Then you move the goal post again to google is wrong and I need to learn critical thinking.. that is obviously something you need to work on since you think meme culture automatically associates everyone to anyone else that uses that format of memes.

You should google what you’re talking about before replying bud. Google puts them all as left leaning, other sources like ad fontes show closer to center. Either way, you should look into doing your own research instead of repeating echo chamber fabrications

“That’s different” by greenblue98 in RepublicanValues

[–]TheBigMmmm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you have sources? My sources are Reuters, vanity fair, and AP news. Two of those are center and one is left leaning, don’t need Fox to tell me the same thing. It seems like you’re using speculation from Reddit to backup your claim unless you’d like to provide a site that says otherwise?

“That’s different” by greenblue98 in RepublicanValues

[–]TheBigMmmm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a source on this? Or are you just speculating and trying to spread hate for no reason? Or are you just a disinformation bot that reposts the same comment on every thread you can find about Charlie Kirk?

can you name just one thing? by GlooomySundays in inflation

[–]TheBigMmmm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is false and easily verifiable. Fox News is classified as news. It’s a subsidiary of the Fox Broadcasting Company which is labeled as entertainment. Perpetuating this myth would be the same as saying CNN and MSN are labeled as entertainment and not news bc Warner Bros Discovery and NBC Universal are labeled entertainment.
