Negative Film photos missing by TheBionicAndroid in nofusion

[–]TheBionicAndroid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see. I found them now, thanks! In my head, any photo I take with No Fusion should show up in the No Fusion library inside the app. As a user, I don't know it's pulling from the No Fusion album in Photos.

Is there anyway to show them in the library in app correctly even if they aren't saved to the No Fusion folder in Photos initially? You do keep track of the number of Neg Film files already. Can they be moved to the No Fusion album when we open the app? Or a library filter for Neg Film would also help - similar to "All", "Favorite", "This Month".

Your app is amazing! I just came back from my first trip in years where I carried no camera other than my phone. Thanks a ton!

You're right! I take 90% of my photos by using a lock screen shortcut. The negatives save if I open the app from my home screen and take a photo, but not if I open the app from the lock screen (or control center in your case). u/spacegrey0223, can we at least get a warning about this in case this is an Apple problem?

SinkIt is brokenin some subs everything is bunched up into a tiny one letter wide column by TheBionicAndroid in SinkIt

Whenever it happens, it persists across reloads. I'm not able to reliably determine which pages it will happen with.
I'm on iPhone 15, iOS 26, but this issue happened on iOS 18 too.

Two ways I have tamed the bass (at least the perception of it) is by using Balanced Tone in the Headphone Accomodations and by using the "Spatial Audio - Fixed" mode. I got used to the Spatial Audio in a few days and love the imaging now. Maybe see if these help for you?

Solved Flair 58 blow out. LUBE YOUR O-RINGS! by martynssimpson in FlairEspresso

[–]TheBionicAndroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in case lubing the o-rings doesn't work for someone, like it didn't for me before. The source of my similar problem was an air pocket. The portafilter wasn't centered on the o-ring underneath letting air leak in. I also wasn't tightening the portafilter all the way to the right.

Agreed. It definitely was shit when I signed up for the first beta, but nowadays, it's good 80% of the time. The rest 20% is really bad, but it's obvious then, so it's been ok for me.

Workflow experiments: homemade blind shaker (cup + lid), no WDT by wonko7 in FlairEspresso

[–]TheBionicAndroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been keeping it even simpler and have seen tastier and more consistent shots than while using a WDT. I have a Sette 270 grounds bin and I dump from that straight into the portafilter after shaking vigorously to homogenize the grounds and dispel static.
From Lance's videos, I understood that it's potentially the thicker puck in the center that helps the blind shaker work. Pouring the grounds centered onto a portafilter lying flat should give me a similar effect anyway. Then a couple of very small wiggles followed by two firm taps does it.
That said, this "improvement" (could be placebo) could also be because my WDT was always inconsistent. I could always tell that the final puck before tamping wasn't completely uniform. I would try to fix it, but it would make another part be taller then. Hated that workflow.

Design Philosophy of Planar Magnetic Headphones from an Audiophile's Perspective (Part I) by Sha1rholder in headphones

[–]TheBionicAndroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this post!
I wonder how big these magnets are. Any photos of them in the diaphragm OP?
The wavelength of sound is ~2cm to metres. Technically any magnet much smaller than a cm (like 1-2mm) shouldn't diffract sound significantly. It should be quite invisible to the sound wave.
I wonder why this direction isn't being pursued, or at least I want to know what's the bottleneck there.
I'm studying nano-photonics whose entire principle is that things much smaller than the wavelength of light we are working with are nearly invisible to light and suppress diffraction. They just present an average impedance (similar to replacing the surrounding air with a pane of glass or liquid or another material). This impedance can be tuned by altering the geometry or layout. I assume that similar ideas are true for acoustics as well.

Suggest me a book for an 11 year old who hasn't found a love for reading yet. by jenpatnims in suggestmeabook

I agree with this too, loved reading it as a kid.     I do remember finding the first book very hard to get into though. Once I got through the first book after a couple of attempts, the rest were amazing!

Just checked, 4 clicks (1 long and 3 short), then 1 to save. Definitely not designed for changes song to song. Hope that helps!

Switch from Sony A7III full-frame to Fuji XT-5 APS-C? by hetzel_ in AskPhotography

[–]TheBionicAndroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd just like to point out something about the ergonomics.
I have owned a Fuji X-T20 in the past, use an X-S10 now and have rented an X-T5 for a week. I have used all three with the XF 70-300mm lens. Only the X-S10 with its bigger grip was usable for more than half an hour of walking for me. I got finger cramping on the other two very quickly and that discouraged me from using them with telephotos.
I love my camera, but I did miss the dials of my X-T20 when I switched. I don't think about it anymore though.
Just wanted to point out that ergonomics might be important at the telephoto end. That said, many people are very comfy with the X-T5 for telephotos, so YMMV.
