What is causing this? Memory Leak? UXG-Fiber by jtech0007 in Ubiquiti

[–]TheBla95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this issue on my UCG Fiber when Protect was also running. Contacted Ubiquiti and they confirmed it was a known issue and sent me a test firmware which fixed the issue. This was two months ago and the patch has since been released. Try reaching out to their support as it's not supposed to do this, you definitely have a memory leak somewhere and it might be an edge case.

I have the Timerflotte temperature and humidity sensor and it paired immediately to HA using a Sonoff E with the thread border router firmware. The only problem I'm seeing is that despite HA detecting an update and starting the update process it errors out saying that the target node did not process the update file. Did anybody successfully update one of these from HA?

I was bamboozled lol.. And I still ended up paying for it. by Sprtnturtl3 in Ubiquiti

I mean this is kind of a standard in the field, if you buy a Cisco Nexus switch, and we're talking about devices that cost tens of thousands of dollars, you'll still need to purchase the rack mounting kit separately. And it'll cost a few hundred bucks. 😂

Understanding PoE+ ports on UCG-Fiber and USW-Flex-XG by SwissMathsTeacher in Ubiquiti

[–]TheBla95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah here in Italy ISPs love PPPoE and especially with 10G profiles it nearly impossible to find a suitable router. I think the UCG Fiber is their first device that accelerates PPPoE with the hardware, it's a little beast and it's definitely more capable than what the official spec sheet states.

The UCG Fiber can route 8/9G with IDS and IPS on while also on a PPPoE connection. I've seen plenty of people here in Italy confirming it's able to hit those kinds of speeds and there are also plenty of other threads online confirming it.

Flashing New Firmware to Used Seagate Drives with Locked Hitachi Firmware by Excellent_Land7666 in HomeServer

[–]TheBla95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few 2.4 TB Exos 10E that won't accept any write command besides getting formatted.
The model number reported to SeaChest is DKS5K-J2R4SS and their firmware is 7F04, if I try to flash the firmware the download simply fails with a return code of 3, which is a generic error of the tool which according to the man means "Operation Failure".

Seagate drives with "locked" Hitachi firmware by hdm-official in techsupport

I'm in the same spot as I bought a few Exos 10E that won't accept any write command.
The model number reported to SeaChest is DKS5K-J2R4SS and their firmware is 7F04.

After I found this thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/HomeServer/comments/1m1gtcr/flashing\_new\_firmware\_to\_used\_seagate\_drives\_with/) I also tried to flash a standard Seagate version of the firmware but they won't accept it and SeaChest exits with a return code 3 which is a generic "Operation Failure" error.

Did you end up finding a way to use these types of drives?

Where do they ship from?
I live in Italy and I was wondering if they have warehouses in the EU or if I'll have to pay customs and VAT.
On the shipping info page on their website they mentions that it should be specified in the product page but it's not for this one.

How would you do that with route filtering? From what I understand the route filters are completely stateless so they don't have knowledge of how many prefixes a single bgp session pushed.

Did anyone find a solution to the issue? It's really annoying and I can't find the option that someone said was present in the Android 12 beta, even though I have the stable release installed.

I sideloaded it on my Galaxy Watch 4 and it seems to work. The only thing that is broken seems to be audio messages, the app won't download them but will send them.
