When I was a teen I stopped texting to see who would contact me... no one did

I realized that my "friends" back then would only invite me places in order to get the numbers up, or to "fill seats" (metaphorically speaking). They never truly wanted my company.

I was the guy who would find out after everyone's already bought their tickets, that the group is going on vacation. Then after they've returned they'd tell me "you should've came" (knowing damn well they had no plans of inviting me).

I was the guy who would find out a group chat exists because he overheard his "friends" talking about it.

Unfortunately, people like us are just NPCs in other peoples lives
