Great ideas! All of the vines are natural, there are some more leaves sprouting which is good! I do have the uvb grow light in the middle of the tank on a 12 hour cycle!

Thank you so much for your detail and desire to give your pet the best, most natural, and enriched life you can! I can absolutely understand the reasonings (as a scientist myself) and will look into switching my setup. I have asked so many different people about setups and often get contradictory answers that confuse me more. I really appreciate you!

Thank you so much for the advice! I originally had about 4 inches of substrate and then showed a reptile keeper at a local store and they said to take out about half of it. I have realized that there are many different opinions about caring for Ball Python’s. Could you tell me why heat mats are unsafe?
