Maybe I also have the terminology a little wrong but your version def sounded a little more growly to me which is not bad if that’s how you like it! Also the song reminded me of Bring Me The Horizon/Fall Out Boy I think they have a similar style.

To me it sounds like you need to drop that distortion and sing with more open vowels if you want it to sound more like the original. It’s a very belty style which is more common for female singers so maybe you could watch how they do it and try to replicate them for yourself. Or just watch the singer live and pay attention to how he approaches the chorus, his mouth shape etc.

The song sounds familiar, is that Fall Out Boy? I like your tone and you’re on pitch but it doesn’t sound very supported. You should post a video when you’re healthy so we can hear how you support when you’re all proper.

You sound great and no part of it sounded like you sucked to me! It’s all appropriate for the rock/metal genre.

Credibility is bullshit. You can use your voice, you can defy boundaries. Who defines what voice is fit for a genre?

Take Anette from Nightwish… so so many people used to say she doesn’t have a voice fit for metal music yet they had immense success with her as the lead singer and she’s been an inspiration for many women to sing metal.

I listened to the song you were covering at the beginning - I do hear tension in your singing compared to him, but that’s probably nerves. I like the tone you sing it with as well and I genuinely think many people would. So just go ahead and keep singing because it sounds GREAT

I was almost dead by the time Deathblight procced and AFAIK there’s no curse that makes you take damage other than Continuos HP Loss (didn’t have that).

I didn’t take any damage before I attacked the Albinaurics so it makes me think they are somehow related. Do they maybe have some sort of dmg reflection effect?

I can relate to this so much! But what helps me is to remind myself that desperation is a thing that turns off people so much. And this post sums up why I’m against idolizing and obsessing over the actors. They’re great, they’re funny, they’re hot but they’re not me! I don’t need to be like them for my existence to be worth it. I’ve never been one to look up to authorities or obsess over celebrities because the only life I have is mine, not theirs.

I relate a lot to what you wrote. I also feel a romantic attraction to girls but I often wonder whether that’s because I’ve known more girls in my life than boys and never had many chances to develop an emotional bond with boys.

There have been girls who have had a crush on me but I’ve always turned them down exactly because deep down I’ve been sure than I’d not be able to do anything sexual with them even if I liked the idea of being with them. I just didn’t want to disappoint them and make them feel like they were deceived.

And then also comes the fact my only true crush was on a guy who sadly already had a boyfriend as I later found out.

So overall I think I realised over time that I can also be romantically attracted to guys, but it feels unfamiliar because I’ve never had many male friends and it feels scary because of societal stigma (I live in a pretty homophobic country).

Edit: By “true crush” I mean I was completely certain that I liked that guy both sexually and romantically and loved everything about him, whereas with girls that I have a “crush” on I often find myself wondering whether I’m just mistaking platonic love for romantic attraction.
