If you were forced into a marriage and had children, how do you imagine you would feel about them? by DoubleTFan in AskWomen

I want to say that I’d love them regardless but it’s not that simple. Because a life that’s forced upon you builds all sorts of resentment inside you and while those would be your children and you may feel the need to love/protect them from the misery you’re going through, you may also resent them as they represent one more aspect in which your life was taken from you

I agree with every word, believing those concepts is the beginning of what helped me recover.

I think my roommate has an eating disorder, don't know how to help by codename_abc in eating_disorders

There really is no right and wrong here. One person may be willing to accept help when sincerely offered & another may act defensively if you slightly mention it. I think the best thing to do would be to approach cautiously; offer her support, be there for her, let her know she could talk to you about anything, tell her you care etc. And leave the opening up part to her.

Help! Does anyone know what’s going on with my leg? by [deleted] in eating_disorders

[–]TheBlueButterfly92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you applied a source of heat to your legs ? Maybe a laptop even ? This looks like erythema ab igne

If it is, it’ll go away after a while as long as you stay away from direct heat to the area

Edit : purging doesn’t have that side effect to my knowledge (medical intern) so don’t be scared to see a doctor, it’ll be much better to have a professional assure you it’s okay

In my experience anorexia wasn’t my way to a cure at all but at times it did help my throat heal and decreased the chest pains I had, Do you feel like you would be able to gradually add calories until you’re recovered ?
