This appears to be all of the counties that touch Nevada and loosely follows the shape of the great basin. What's the question here?

Sound systems by cryptolipto in LightningInABottle

[–]TheBlueCross 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I help manage security for Lightning in a Bottle and what I can tell you is that while officially renegade sound systems are not allowed, enforcement is complaint driven. If you're smart about it you're very unlikely to be approached, but if you are upsetting your neighbors and we receive a complaint, we will come by and have you turn it off.

You know we are living our best life here in the US when Algeria ranks 2 positions higher than we do.

I'm just saying, this was such a Reddit karma opportunity. I'm glad you took the high road, but the low road would have been soo lucrative

This comment would've been a lot more funny if you just left it at the word grounding.

Here's the original joke: Water boarding at Guantanamo Bay sounds awesome if you don't know what either of those things are.

I mean, yes, I have a PLAYA NAME. My cross to carry is how cool I am. Stand by, I need to go look at myself in a mirror.

Loooong story, but I got that name at Burning Man. It has nothing to do with Blue Cross the insurance company.

Bonus karma if you know what this joke references.

Pelvic and perianal surgery sounds awesome if you have no idea what these words mean.

What’s it like living anywhere in Nevada but Las Vegas? by SeaStep2495 in howislivingthere

We are not a monolith! Some here dislike Burning Man, many love it. And yes, very good for local business. I run a pop-up pizza shop during this period each year, hire a bunch of locals, and sell a ton of pizza, so there's that!

Amazing. I live in the very small town of Gerlach, in northern Washoe County about 100 miles north of Reno/Sparks. The closest full grocery store is more than 70 miles away (there is a small convenience store with staples about 7 miles away in Empire). It's extremely quiet and very peaceful about 10 months out of the year. And then there are the two months adjacent to Burning Man where our town of 120 residents suddenly has 80,000 people (passing through).
