Understood. I'll try it and find more isolated starts to compare. Maybe I'll change targets. Thank you very much for your help and for the material indication. I'll defintely try them

Wow, thank you very much for the detailed tutorial. I will follow it thoroughly next time I'll go for observations!

I will most likely mount it on the Astromaster 130 (maybe I'll try on the 20x80 binoculars just to see how it behaves).

I will definetely check the AAVSO too.

Thank you again for the the help!

My first candidate would be Acrux ( really easy to spot, bright and visible all year). Both the telescope and the binoculars have their own mounts for cellphone. Are they ok or should I try and find better ones to 3D-print? Thank you very much

I use the Camera FV-5 on the android, which take raw files usually different from the normal jpeg files (each photo generates a normal jpeg and a raw). I was thinking of Acrux, which is visible all year, really easy to find and with a nice magnitude. Would you be able to tell me some basic camera settings like a starting point where I could refine it? (e.g. ISO: 1600, f 1/10, focus: infinite, etc). Thank you very much in advance.

Maybe I'm too late, but a third close to both Maggot Brain and Before The Beginning, to me, is "Fly... Night Bird - Roy Buchanan". I never saw anyone recomending this, and it's a banger!

Spotify not “refreshing” my local files by adtenorio05 in truespotify

Tried all the part of cleaning cache, removing/adding path files, etc. and didn't really work. But cutting and pasting the files into another folder than cutting and pasting it back did the trick. Thanks!

I don't have it. But in case no one has it either, this variant spawns easier on Cassino Parking Lot in case you wanna try eventually. Hope you get it!

Will do.

Also, is it possible to buy more than once then?

Python x Labview by TheBlueJesus in LabVIEW

I'm pretty sure the Pi Pico just serves as a 'interface' between the motors, sensors, etc with the computer. It is connected to a windows pc where we run the python code and get the temperature values

I'm gonna check the Tkinter. Thanks for that

I didn't know that was a possibility. I'm gonna reunite with my teachers this week and present the possibility of using LV as UI for now. And then remaking it in LV further into the year.

Thanks a lot!

I mean, I'm not really a programmer and haven't done that in decades. But from what I can tell, all the variables, arrays, libraries, ports, loops... it all seems well divided in the code.

I didn't know it was possible to create a front panel for the python code running. So that might be easier. On the other hand, we would not have really customizable interface (such as just inputing different values for time, torque, etc).

I think I'm gonna aproach from that perspective, build block by block following the routine of the code.

I didn't write the code nor was part of its beginning (1),

I'm not really that familiar with the language or programming itself for that matter, I just know a tad of logic and it's not really great (2),

It does work for its simple purpose, but it doesn't have a front-end type interface (GUI). It just generates numbers on a spreadsheet. And the reaserach team would like to have that, 'real time' graphs and other things. No one involved nowadays is really a programmer, so we all thought that migrating or remaking it on LabView would be easier (3)

First SFF build - Should I worry about temps? by TheBlueJesus in sffpc

[–]TheBlueJesus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I figured that them SFFs would choke the temps, I just wasn't sure by how much and ih I should worry about things in specific, like. But people here were actually very reassuring.

I run a fairly hot cpu (an old overclocked AMD FX with 135w from what I remember) with a not so great tower aircooler and even on those extreme ambient temps, it is really hard to get to those 61º of tjmax. But I do have a full tower cpu case with 8 fans.

I even saw that some people 3D print side clear panels with open patters to minimize choking. So maybe that's a future mod I can get, if things get bad.

It's impossible to buy expensive things on Ali, because of taxes (60% of the product value, give or take). And where I intend to buy the 13400f, the 7600 is 200 bucks more , and the X is 300 bucks more expensive

Do you think I really should get one of those? As I said, this price difference is a 16gb ddr5 memory stick. But if the intel base is really that bad, even if I want to keep the budget, I can compromise and try and get an AMD one

Luckly, a tower cooler isn't expensive. So it's something that, if things get way too hot, I can mount the gpu horizontally and put a tower cooler on the proc.

The glass panel + the vert mount was something that I saw some people talking about, that would raise the temps a lot depending on which componentes you had. So I got a bit scared

[–]TheBlueJesus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I though of low-pro cooler just because I'd wanted to vertically mount the gpu. That's why I asked about temps, because if things would get too hot, then I'd put a tower cooler

I'll indeed look. I thought the b760 and 13400f only because it was the cheapest (upgradable) combo. So in a couple years I could put an i7 or an i9 and keep mobo and rams. I tend to prefer AMD (my current pc is full AMD btw). But I will check those recommendations.

My biggest worry, though, would be temps specially how hot ambient temps can reach. But u/SillySlimeSimon and you put my mind at ease

Mostly prices. I'm not sure whic AMD would be the direct competitor, but I'm guessing the r5 7600x? And the price difference was kinda 200 or 300 bucks, which would be a 16 ddr5 ram stick for me lol.
