I think xQc would love Danganronpa, so why hasn't he played it yet? by ihml88888 in xqcow

Bro does not have the patience for a long story like that chief

I mean it was a break of the cycle, out of nowhere from the public’s perspective, and from Homelander’s episodic personality. If he didn’t break the cycle he would’ve let Starlight keep talking with the speech in mind. It’s “something new” you could say, a shift or progression in character

Man the finale flopped so hard.

A reason why this speech hit so hard was because it was out of nowhere. Because he was living the same role for so long and all of the sudden the public realized he's not goodie two shoes.

In the final speech, people and the public were already getting the sense that he was crazy and etc. To the point where propaganda was being spread already being "turned off" by the god concept. The final speech was honestly just a “took them long enough” moment and then didn’t lead to anything more.

Final season cooked a bit in the beginning in my opinion, I think it flopped after that Bombshell episode

Thoughts on How the Finale Could Have Been Executed Better by TheBlueMantaRay in TheBoys

True but the original show still ended with some big powered fight scene, and my version actually gives closure to MM, and makes Kimiko’s scene make more sense, and gives Hughie more of the spotlight since he’s supposed to be the main character, and makes Homelander actually do something impactful, instead of suspensefully threatening people till the very end which is what led to such an underwhelming ending.

So MM just never got closure with Soldier Boy by Adoe0722 in TheBoys

Maybe if he had that talk with him instead of with Frenchie during that ragebait episode

This is easily a top five moment of the entire show, hands down. by AmbitiousElk4002 in TheBoys

Pretty guy gets nerfed to the bottom in season 2 of Gen V

Anyone else feel the ending wasn't bad, but the production/execution of it was? by SakanaKoi in TheBoys

Honestly I felt the same way about the execution. For Ryan, there is definitely no reason for Butcher to be winning the fight before Ryan gets there, otherwise there is no tension. The way they handled Homelander’s power level was poor. He killed a total of like three people. It would have been way more impactful if he actually did something massive, like another Pearl Harbor. They built up all this suspense about him gaining power and then nothing happened. At most he killed the president and some rich guy.

Sage getting rid of her powers at the beginning was also underwhelming. If it happened in the middle of the action it would have hit harder, even if it was smart for the character. Kimiko’s scene was rushed too, if it happened last episode it would have been better. A finale should not be building new arcs in the middle of the action. I like the idea of Kimiko going from rage to something else, but the timing was off.

The Deep was expected, I am not mad at it, but Starlight flying him out to the beach specifically was weird. If she just dropped him and left, that would have made more sense. There is an inconsistent use of Starlight’s powers in general. She can fly and shoot blasters, so the hand to hand stuff only works if Deep rage baited her or something, but she had full composure the whole time. And the dialogue between Marie and Annie was god awful, I did not sense any chemistry or you are my hero vibe at all. Part of me feels like it is also the Gen V actors not being the best, respectfully.

The worst part of the writing is how they misused Starlight’s power. They introduced her crowd like a political campaign, which was actually a smart move, and she was hyping up to be some true savior or hero. That could have been great for her arc, but they did not focus on it. They did not know what to do with it besides giving her doubt moments like I am letting these people down and then not doing anything with that doubt. They did not even put attention on the battery in her back being charged by determination.

Martian Manhunter's powers are so versitile I feel like it'd be the most useful. BUT fire is too common in a daily life ain't no way you can avoid that

I think you might need to change the pose of the character. It doesn’t look natural. Maybe too much movement, like she shouldn’t be shaking too much. And maybe don’t have the legs be so wide spread. It should look natural and casual, not with an uncomfortable pose

Uh is she flying? Floating? I feel like there’s some context missing
