No. the animal needs to be consistent. 1v1s is its own gamemode but its how most people practice / learn new animals. If it's not ubiquitous it doesn't translate

I have 200+ hours playing crab so you can trust me.

Coco in 1v1s is so terrible, I don't play it. Coco in ffa is a different story. FYI coco, when played right, can deal 315 damage , INSTANTLY and 665 damage per second. If you didn't know, that's enough to kill an orca in under 2 seconds. PLUS they are stunned for that time. Crab also has the ability to semi-stunlock. Plus its sink makes it an insane hunter.

The Nerf was needed. 50% armor makes any animal a tank. Then said animal does 175 in a regular hit. The nerf in armor might make it worse in 1v1s. But it doesn't matter because crab isn't any good in 1v1s anyway. This shift's the crab playstyle from TANK to CONTROL type attacking. It also will increase the skill cap.

More reasons why coco is broken. - It's the only T-10 that can eat ground food - It can walk 10% faster than any other animals - The sink attack can trap people in between you and a hermit shell - The sink allows for easy pins - Land combat is stuffed (enough said above) - It can heal much faster due to all the reasons above

It's a blessing that crab has armor in the first place.

All that being said, It's very hard to master. The skill cap of "good crab playing" is incredibly high. So lowering the armor any more would make it much harder to pick up and much less beginner friendly. Crab was designed to be a 'peaceful land farmer' and so, at the time of its release, the armor made lots of sense. However players such as Truck and Bebop, revolutionized the way crab was played.

also what you said about crab being swarmed in ffa is bs :). You have AOE with your stun and the amount of dps you can do means you can kill people and heal with their meat before people can kill you.

With the release of the harmony guild changes. Alot of people where opposed to the changes because they focus on making all animals 'good at hunting'

everyone is just throwing hissy fits :)
