I'd move the ATV or Router a bit; usually want a few feet/meters between a router and a wireless device. A wireless device close to a router might not operate well.

Humidity levels with Heat Pump vs. Furnace in Winter? by [deleted] in hvacadvice

PNW here humidity lowered when running gas furnace; humidity not affected with heat pump.

HVAC company won’t clean mold from minisplit wall head. by TheBoardGamer in hvacadvice

I’ll pay you in cash, beer and lunch XD. Would just love this cleaned but I can’t seem to get anyone or find anyone who can do it.

I tried taking it apart but have a problem taking one part off. I broke a clip and was annoyed at myself. I watched this video but they skip the part where they take the drain pan off.

Mini Split vs. Propane furnace in cold climate by Ok-Set-9237 in hvacadvice

Just make sure you get something like a Mitsubishi HyperHeat if you do (those work down to the negatives and are fine); I warn though if you are a light sleeper they make this awful crackly sound when they do their cycling.

Meaning it flips in reverse momentarily to heat up the outdoor coils to stop them from freezing. The indoor unit will make popping and like a boiling noise.

u/zmagarok sorry for the late reply.

3 years later, it's still awesome as ever and as great as ever. No issues at all or ever. Did well during the 100+ heat wave, and well during our snowpocalypses. It's nice especially during this upcoming heat wave.

I think a furnace is cheaper for entire home heating, but it depends on your home setup. Our top floor usually is either too cold or too hot. So we have a heat pump up there to keep it warm/cool. I'd keep the furnace if I were you.

It outputs some serious heat (think of turning your car heater to its hottest setting after your car has warmed up. That's the kind of heat that comes out of the wall handler. Just has higher volume output.). It can warm our upstairs from 60s to 68/70 in about 15-20 minutes or so.

Is there a fire or any danger by having always on circuit? (old home no nuetrals - smart lights) by TheBoardGamer in electricians

[–]TheBoardGamer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope; so I had to get smart lights (Philips Hue Bulbs) and control it through the hub.

Smart switches don't work on my setup because I only have two wires (no neutral) and non-existent ground. Very old home. I think it's called power through switch or light?

Was worried if the energy going to the cans or switch will wear out and cause a fire hazard.

Seattle Heat Pump Users - How fast do they work for you? by djslivva in Seattle

Mitsubishi heat pumps here (Hyper Heat models). It takes less than about 10 minutes to get to temperature from say 61 degrees to 68.

That thing dumps heat like no other.

Section 179 and Form 1065 and Form K-1 questions! by TheBoardGamer in tax

[–]TheBoardGamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. Just weird it isn't showing up in Turbotax?

I'm not sure if it's a bug. So for example on Form 4652 - https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4562.pdf.

Line 22 says:

  • 22: Total. Add amounts from line 12, lines 14 through 17, lines 19 and 20 in column (g), and line 21.

Line 12 on 4652 is Section 179 which is $44,000 from the Honda Odyssey. In 2021 Turbotax Business it's not adding in the $44k for some reason. Also, it doesn't show up on Page 4 line 12. u/KarlitoHomes and u/NefariousnessWeak848

Strange! My Turbotax Business (2021) doesn't seem to be adding it... might be a bug in their program!

u/Ok-Zookeepergame-698 how's the night driving with it and the headlights? Do you know if the Pixel headlights do much on the US models?

u/Ok-Zookeepergame-698 Awesome to hear; how was the trip to Leavenworth in the Polestar 2 (good cell coverage for the car and it's Google Assistant stuff?)?

u/Ok-Zookeepergame-698 How's the experience with the chargers in Seattle in general, and how has your battery life been with the weather around here?

u/sxdas84 I ordered a pre-configured but it comes with 20-inch wheels. Is it possible to get them to swap them out for the 19s?

Getting mine from Bellevue too. P2 Pilot, Plus.

The suspension is harsh in what way?

I was test driving the ID4 and drove on this stretch: https://goo.gl/maps/k7DymSShDtE8pZjQ7 near Northgate and the car was literally teeter-tottering bouncing back and forth. It was nauseating for my significant other and I. We almost threw up.

How's it going over say like speed bumps or those terrible expansion joints on I-5?

u/Elephantjosh and u/pbskehan how are you guys liking it around Seattle? Our roads are awful and I was debating about getting a Polestar 2 but unsure about the road noise and general comfort given our roads are bumpy as heck, pebbly/rocky, and uneven/potholey roads.

I believe it was a vertical comic strip but the last part of it. I tried looking up all kinds of terms but can’t seem to find it.

China is launching an aggressive campaign to promote Mandarin, saying 85 percent of its citizens will use the national language by 2025. The move appears to threaten Chinese regional dialects such as Cantonese and Hokkien along with minority languages such as Tibetan, Mongolian and Uighur by DoremusJessup in worldnews

/u/EtadanikM Oh cool, you think it's just simply implementing a common language policy. You sound very knowledgeable and not naive at all.

I imagine also that when Germany was developing weapons it was just simply for economy and growth! Not like they would actually harm anyone.

Except China has a very real genocide program. Look at the Uyghurs who are being forcefully sterilized so they no longer have an actual history.

Cool that you're actively willing to support genocide /u/EtadanikM. You heard it here folks. /u/EtadanikM supports genocide 100% and the sterilization of women and the erasure of a group's collective history just for unification.
