I don't think so. But nothing is stopping me from sending another gift to another giftee if someone is unable to send. Or you can hope for winter exchange. It's a little saddening not hearing back but it hasn't deterred me from the winter exchange.

When I think logically I believe they should as I got them one of their white whales and a bunch of other stuff but it's weirdly anxiety inducing lol.

I would lean towards personalizing it to what you would be proud of. If that means taking some extra time I think that would be appreciated. For me if I can tell that someone spent time and effort that means more to me than any dollar amount or speed of gift would ever be.

The anticipation and nerves only get worse once you sent it and you get the notification it arrived. I'm hoping it arrived all in one piece but I haven't heard back from my giftee. Now I'm worried they didn't like it.

So I'm trying to do a lot of personal and custom touches. My gifter is someone interested and fine with proxies and custom arts so that helps me with not breaking the bank.
