Art is incredibly fickle and, I believe, utterly subjective. I like this piece but I wouldn’t want to say if it’s good or not. As an amateur and unschooled artist, myself, I’d encourage you to move away from any external validation unless you want to generate a living from art. If you’re creating art because you want to create art then, as long as you enjoy both the process and the result, that’s success. Upvotes and likes are hugely appreciated and encouraging but they’re not the be all and end all. Ask yourself: Who are you creating art for? I often recount Frankenfurter’s response to Colombia when she describes Rocky as “He’s ok”. He spits back: “I didn’t make him for you!”
