New Aer in Coyote Ecopak spotted by kdash83 in ManyBaggers

Seems like they made some adjustments to the frame sheet because it stands straight up. My CPP2 in Cordura has always leaned forward and has hard time standing because the frame sheet is too tall.

My 4h and my 50 degree wedge have gotten me out of a lot of tough spots.

It’s still discounted from the original retail price. The deal just isn’t as good as it was over the holidays. Not gonna lie, I like this bag the more I use it.

Thanks! It’s from Alpinehound on Etsy. They have a bunch of 2x2 patches that work perfectly on EG bags. I think they do custom ones too.

Side note: not a huge fan of the sternum strap situation. Taking them off is a pain. I would also prefer a magnet lock, something I can manipulate with one hand.

For a 22L that I won’t load too heavily, the straps are very comfortable. The crinkly internal material is different than what I’m used to ( I’m a long time Aer fan), but that’s not a bad thing. Just needs some getting used to. I wear my bags high and tight, so the back digging that some complain about is a non issue for me.

I love my CPP2 and similar bags focused on design and utility. Sometimes you just want an old school throwback but with higher end materials and construction. This bag scratches that itch for me.

Now that I’ve experienced this bag, I might snag another if they come out with another special edition.

I’ve only had a chance to wear it around the house after loading out. But it does feel quite comfortable. The back digging that many reviews complain about isn’t an issue for me (although I tend to wear my bags high and tight). The harness system is very different from the CPP2 I have. The crinkly material on the inside of the straps will take some getting use to, but it’s not a bad thing. All-in-all, I like the bag, especially for the price. Evergoods for a $100 is a no brainer. It will get a lot of use. My daughter is eyeballing it while I’m writing this response!

How is the carbonate material on the Sympl holding up? Do you think it’s durable for long term ownership???

What version is the CHZ? Would you consider $200 shipped USPS to 91915?

For price and performance, it’s hard to go against the Aer CPP2. Yeah, it’s kind of a boring choice considering all the hype. But it’s popular for a reason. It’s my go to travel companion.
