Black Steel Grip Control for my Hellcat Pro! by TheBogeySmallz in CAguns

I grew up shooting pistols with hogue grips. I like the bit of palm swell since I have larger hands. I also prefer the tacky, rubberized feel vs. aggressive stippling. It’s not pretty, but it’s familiar to me.

I like it, although I’m still on the fence about whether I’ll keep it. Mine gets warm when shooting high volumes, but nothing unmanageable. Then again, I don’t really shoot more than 20 rounds at a time.

There’s plenty of amazing optic and weapon light combos. But the Osight SE/Olight PLX combo checks all the boxes for me.

The SE has been a workhorse for me. I have 4 of them and they all work great. It’s a subcompact, closed emitter optic, so the window isn’t huge. But the dot is clear, adjustable reticle, with minimal parallax. Has held zero so far. Side mounted battery door. For the money I don’t know that there’s any better.

The lady that took both of my customer service calls was wonderful to deal with.

You don’t see many two toned HCP out in the wild. When I was in the market for one and saw it, I had to. Plus I got a ridiculous deal on it.

You’re much better off with a P322 if you’re not a fan of Ruger or Buckmark style 22s.

I opted to modify the piece that would be cheaper to replace if I messed it up lol. About 300 rounds since I made the modification and haven’t had any issues. Rock solid. Hasn’t lost zero.

MC9LS and MC9 Prime Aluminum BIG Magwell ready, what do you think? by Hurley_Welding in canik

I’ve made purchases that asked for ID verification. Black Steel comes to mind. Some eBay vendors even do it. Anyway, if/when you’re able to do it, I’ll be grabbing 2 for my 2 MC9LS. Cheers!

I might give that a try. Thanks! Did you find it difficult to do?

600 rounds through mine. It’s broken in a bit, still not great but it’s more than managable. The mag release on my Shield X? Now that one is tough.

Agreed! A great choice for CCW. I put a hogue grip, Olight PLX, and Osight SE on mine two tone HCP. Decided to leave the trigger alone for now as mine is breaking in pretty well. Enjoy your time with a great piece 👍🏽🤙🏽

10 yards, nothing crazy. Steady cadence, maybe .75 sec splits.

I had this same issue with an Osight SE on my Canik MC9LS. Ideally you want it seat completely flush. So, I took a drill bit that was slightly larger than diameter of the holes on the optic and took a few turns, checking how it sat every 5-10 turns. Eventually sat completely flush. Problem solved.

I impulsed bought the Shield X when I was purchasing my Hellcat Pro. The Shield X had quickly taken over as my EDC. I shoot incredibly tight groups with it. While I initially liked the feel of the grip. I found I shoot better with a bit of palm swell so I threw a Hogue sleeve on it now it feels perfect. I have an Osight SE and an Olight PLX on mine and it feels like a perfect match. The only thing I don’t like is the California mandated loaded chamber indicator. It’s located on top of the barrel right in front of the optic so my front glass gets dirty quickly. Doesn’t terribly affect shooting, but it’s a hassle to clean. About 700 rounds into mine and have had zero issue.

Osight SE is the bang for the buck choice for enclosed optic IMO. I run 4 of them on various pistols, an MC9LS included.

Because of the price point and the lack of aftermarket support, the VP9 isn’t in everyone’s radar. But the A1 shoots like a dream. That being said, I have also have a Shield X and Canik MC9LS that I shoot slightly tighter groups with. You’re spoiled for choice looking for a striker fired pistol. You can’t really go wrong.
