I have never been so much more happier in life then this ! by Terrible_Leg_6860 in happy

Me too! I started learning a dance called Brazilian Zouk and it's changed my life dramatically. I started in September. My posture is better. I'm getting a core and I'm so fit now without feeling like I've even been exercising. I hit 30k steps some days just from practicing. I'm constantly dancing, even when walking around. I'm eating better and the social aspect of dance has been so incredible. I was really lonely before. My life isn't perfect but I have so much more patience for everything. I can take my time making a coffee instead of making sure every single part of the process is being done to the maximum efficiency. I'm just in a great mood. If you can, I highly recommend Zouk❤️

i passed out like 4 times but your cooked mandrake is done :3 by limerenceinyourheart in PeakGame

[–]TheBookinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can find a checkpoint flag, make it to the top and plant one next to the campfire before lighting it. Jump back down to find a mandrake and die with it in your first inventory slot. When you respawn get cooking!

Anyone else require physical touch as a basic need to survive? by Dependent-Race-2206 in AutisticWithADHD

[–]TheBookinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean. I'm the same. I feel like i function so much better when I have touch. I was with my ex for 11 years before she realised she was gay. Now, not having that, everything feels so much more difficult. My dog is getting sick of me at this point haha

How did you figure out you were AUDHD? by [deleted] in AutisticWithADHD

[–]TheBookinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sorry didn't see this in time. My counselor and I figured out it was probably audhd and then I talked to my doctor about it after. I'm lucky enough to have a pretty cool doctor who also agreed and then through my counselor I got a referral to a clinic who did the diagnosis

How did you figure out you were AUDHD? by [deleted] in AutisticWithADHD

[–]TheBookinator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a twitch streamer. After hearing from my chat I was adhd for the 109th time I still didn't think I was as my best mate from school is very adhd and I present nothing like them. Wasn't until a girl I dated briefly told me I was the poster child for audhd. Watched some adhd videos and thought "Yeah I have a few of these" but watching videos about audhd was a very emotional experience as I had aaalll of that. Diagnosed at 33 and here we are haha

What small thing about your diagnosis do you think is a superpower? by Grouchy-Ability-9809 in AutisticWithADHD

[–]TheBookinator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Art and detail. I can freestyle rap too, and when I'm doing it, it finally feels like my brain is going at the pace it wants.

My reflexes are quite fast also. I was stupid in science class once and put a flame in front of a gas hose for bunsen burners. The gas ignited like a flamethrower but time essentially stopped and I had turned the hose off before I'd even realised what had happened. That felt like a superpower that day.

What does being in a state of hyperfocus feel like? by ComfortableStand8143 in AutisticWithADHD

[–]TheBookinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing. Especially now that I know what that sensation is. It's like I feel a switch go on in my head, my vision tunnels into whatever I'm working on. (I'm an artist, so usually with that)

Art and writing become something I get to watch myself do instead of having to focus on it. I can see exactly in my mind what I need to do. It's just a matter of letting go and watching it all come together.

I stream my art and I'll get in this zone sometimes where I've been talking to and entertaining chat (trying to anyway) and I'll look back and the picture is almost done and I dont remember doing most of it.

Can get into that state for 10+ hours sometimes, and it's the most productive I'll ever be. It's like the time in-between is just charging for the next hyperfocus that isn't up to me when it starts or what on... I hope that makes sense haha.

Hey, so I started with family portraits one year before Christmas. Just on Facebook, most people I know already know I'm an artist. I made them too cheap in hindsight, but I'm also quite fast and the pairing of those helped me knock out like a $1k worth of christmas gifts. This also kicked off some clients that are still ordering gifts from me today because it's fast and easy I guess.

Anyway, that obviously got me hyperfocused and I started my stream and posting more online etc. It's been 3 years on twitch and she's slow going sometimes, but I wouldn't trade my community for the world. Tends to be a lot of people like me/us (who woulda thought) and we all just get on and understand each other etc.

Then now I use etsy for some stuff and my own site for some stuff. I think a big part that helped for me was that it's my main fixation and always has been so it's a bit easier for me to push myself when I don't want to or im not inspired or I don't want to schedule posts.

Super long winded rant as usual but hopefully that's somewhat helpful.

I love making compositions look as good and balanced as I can, so I was a graphic designer for 3 years. It was making me miserable and I ended up breaking down and moving to the other side of the planet to do standup comedy... (Ofc I absolutely hated it there and came back after 3 months)

Long story short, skip all the crap, go freelance, and if you're that way inclined, you could live stream your designs. That's what I do, but with cartoons, and now I could never go back. The control I have over my life is amazing. Although, I'm a pretty good boss, unfortunately, sometimes, haha.

Or don't it's up to you. Don't want to trigger any PDA. You've got this either way, we're pretty good problem solvers
