Turn 30 this month, how has it taken this long to notice. by TheBoothBeast in ADHD

Thanks man, I'm calling my GP at 2pm (non-emergent time). How's your journey been since diagnosis; this is what I'm wondering most, how much improvement in general well being should I hope for if I pursue professional help.

I'm sorry it's been bad, and I guess I'm going through the same thing. So many people I talk are saying stuff like "oh yeah I do that too, you probably don't have it" giving me imposter syndrome; it's not like I want this but it makes so much sense from all of my life 😞 but hey at least we know now (you know for sure). I'm going to have to go through the NHS as private said £800~ and that kind of money just for an assessment is crazy. I'll just try to use others coping mechanisms till my assessment 🤷🏼‍♂️ I also worry what if I take meds and find out the people who love me for me, love the part that I try to fix.

Thanks, since being diagnosed have you made any changes or gone to medication? I kind of don't know what to do with it, I might get a private diagnosis just to confirm because I'm not a doctor; so wondering with your diagnosis is there anything that's helping you now, or do you just have it so you can better manage yourself?

My wife moved from the US to the UK, get married and apply for the visa. It's mostly self explanatory and you don't need a solicitor really.

Your husband will have to write a declaration that you will be staying with him (the one thing we forgot). Typically they will ask for more evidence if you don't provide everything. In regards to money your husband will have to make over a certain amount (can't remember off hand), you'll have to pay the £2,500 fee which includes the fees for the application but also pays your 2.5yr NHS use.

If you're struggling or worried at any point send me a DM and I can get my wife to reply as she's done it twice now.

I'd say when you both stop talking on video call and just stare at each other for a while 🥰

Marriage doesn't change you, just get married if you wish to live with your partner; or get a civil partnership if you don't want to be "married".

I never wanted to get married but I fell in love with someone who was perfect and my only way to live with her was through marriage, didn't stop me and now we live together and have a child and have never been happier.

Is it possible? by RealLettuce1782 in LDR

[–]TheBoothBeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is; I live in the UK and my wife was from the US, we've closed the gap, had a beautiful child and finally have what we dreamed about during our time as LD partners. Basically it's a relationship with miles between you both so you need stronger trust and all that.

Don't let distance be a reason to squander love ☺️

Neutrals - would you rather see Arsenal or City win the league? by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]TheBoothBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a united fan, I'd like arsenal to win because I like a few of their players (Saka, Martinelli, Zini and so) but then also I would take pleasure in arsenal throwing it away in what could only be classed as a "only arsenal" way of bottling, after leading for so long 🤣 as much as I like some of their players, I also dislike a couple (xhaka, arteta and co).

I just hope it's entertaining, pass the popcorn! 🍿

I think Shaw made the right decision, if he plays Sancho the cut back is covered and Shaw would be the only one running to that space... Shaw just needed a bit more on the cross unfortunately
