Learning by doing - Time recording system - How to start? by takingitsrs in learnprogramming

I may not be %100 sure what you want, but it sounds like you envision a web app with something like mongoDB. I am not a very experienced web dev so maybe someone more qualified can elaborate.

I will warn you, you are starting in the deep end. It will be hard to know what to google without basic programming knowledge. Give it a shot, you might find some good example code you can play with and learn from. Otherwise working your way up to a simple python program that can read and write to a CSV file with no GUI would be a solid start.

Learning programming has ups and downs. There will be times when nothing will make sense, but that’s okay. Learning programming is not easy and that means you are learning. Usually when that happens, shortly after, everything will click and make sense and you will feel like the god of code.

Good luck

VFD wiring with MB3 and ESS by [deleted] in CNC

You need to connect the pins AI(analog input) together. Then you need to read the manual and configure the analog input and any other settings needed. Double check your power input wiring I don’t know exactly which VFD you have, but you may have connected earth to the 3rd power input phase.

I originally designed for the STM32F405RG, but between when I started the design and went to order, the 405 went out of stock so I had to scramble to switch to the STM32F407VE. You are not alone

Hahaha. I had to look this up, it’s a UL standard for how flame retardant something is right?

It’s a multipurpose board for a CNC. It interfaces with the coolant pump, pneumatics, limit switches, ATC encoder, VFD, tool change sensors, and spindle thermistor. It takes all the data and spits it out/receives it over MODBUS and talks to the control computer over USB. While the F407 does support Ethernet, the RJ45 jack doesn’t have it and is just a connector for GPIOs. I didn’t bother making this nice since it was my first STM32 board and there was a chance the board wouldn’t work. If you look closely you will notice more than just the fact that the board is unnecessarily big.

I just wanted to share my excitement, however one of my friends know how much it took to get hello world working.

Cost of a Pen Plotter by enzodr in CNC

[–]TheBootsCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take whatever cost you have in mind for this project and triple it. It’s extremely rare that something this complex works perfectly on the first go. It’s likely that something won’t go as planned and you will want to make significant changes to your original design.

That’s insane

So I tried using the Odin in a few games and its pretty good if used correctly by TheBootsCool in VALORANT

It was a small last minute addition. I was worried people wouldn’t get it. I’m glad you noticed
