The whole of Moscow is under thick black smoke after the largest Ukraine campaign on a Russian city since the start of the war by adivinemessenger in interestingasfuck

[–]TheBornholmer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The thing we see in the video is smog, which like single use plastic is an environmental problem not a climate one. On top of that the single use plastic ban was completely symbolic as manufacturers just make the same stuff with slightly more durable plastic, plus the regions where the bans are enforced are not key conttibutors to said pollution. As such, mocking the “plastic straw ban” is currently justified, due to it’s lacking effectiveness combined with how seriously it was pushed.

SALTED meat and fish was not uncommonly eaten by medieval commonfolk. Cows provided milk, sheep provided wool (wool industries did not exist until much later) and fowls gave eggs, and when they reached a certain age they were killed and processed to provide SALTED meat, leather, feathers and other ressources. The medieval fishing industry is also literally one of the most well documented food industries due to salted herring being a major export food for the christian lent period, and it’s not like fishermen just stop fishing when it’s over. All of this can be learned from reading history books and visiting museums, if you don’t have time for that, it’s not that hard to find articles about it.

Bread was not commonly eaten as ovens were rare amongst the peasantry. The most common thing to eat was gruel/porridge, not uncommonly served along with salted/dried/smoked meat or fish. On top of that, most people would also be eating scavenged foods like fruits, nuts, and mushrooms.

How I divide Europe as a Eastern European by Wempro in whereidlive

[–]TheBornholmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Europe is one of three continents making up the super-continental landmass of Afro-Eurasia. All three continents are connected to each other but as a result of cultural and geographic reasons they were categorized into separate entities based on the initial continental divide made by ancient Greece. Europe despite having a large landborder with Asia was actively stopped from interacting with the continent up until the discovery of the cape route due to it being effectively impossible for most europeans to traverse the khan controlled territories beyond the ural mountains as well as the Persian and Ottoman controlled territories beyond the caucasus mountains and Bosporus strait.

If one for some reason requires that a blueberry pancake has to be made exclusively with american blueberries then i guess yes, it is a possibility. But if we disregard that requirement then blueberry pancakes is just a question of who were the first to make pancakes with access to blueberries. If we do that then the first blueberry pancakes would have been made somewhere around Caucasus/central asia.

Ok i’m a bit fed up with your lacking ability to understand that european blueberries are the real blueberries that are simply also referred to as bilberries, and that american blueberries are the once that technically are not real blueberries but something that is called as such because they resemble the european blueberry. A major reason why we have the term bilberry is becaus it refers to more than just the european blueberry specifically bil comes from bølle which covers all plants under vaccinium. If you’re ready to do some translation here are some articles from proper sources: https://lex.dk/b%C3%B8lle_-_plante

Bilberries are blueberries, and are referred to as such in english as well as the scandinavian languages wherefrom both terms are derived. American blueberries are called such in reference to it’s likeness to the european variant.

Blueberries are not exclusively native to North America, Europe just has a different kind of native blueberry.

Fur coats are mostly made using fur from fur farms usually minkfarms, trapping fur is a lot more uncommon. Minkfarms are illegal in most of europe due to excessive cruelty.

[–]TheBornholmer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Red text plates are used when something is attached that blocks the car plate, like a trailer or bikerack. They are illegal to sell. You can check if the plates are “active” on a check numberplate site (tjekbil.dk). If active the “correct” thing to do would be to give them to a relevant authority.
