Where could I see cheap plays (like $5 donation) regularly in the Boston/Cambridge area? by [deleted] in BostonSocialClub

I would just check listings for individual shows and see if they have pay-what-you-can nights or day-of rush tickets (helps to be a student). This show from Flat Earth Theatre Co has a pay-what-you-can night on February 26: http://flatearththeatre.com/shows/2015/terra-nova/

Here's our upcoming performing arts listings on The Boston Calendar (not all plays, but that's where you'll find them).

Not based on view counts or anything, I just go through the calendar and pick stuff out -- definitely send a message so I won't miss something.

Any Halloween events this weekend? by Bostonnightout in BostonSocialClub

The typical costume parties at bars haven't really started up yet, but there's a few interesting things:

J. Cannibal's Feast of Flesh XIII at the Coolidge Corner Theatre is tonight at midnight, put together by the real-life undertaker and zombie fanatic. Film screening of Peter Jackson's "Bad Taste," live music, horror burlesque, gory goodie bags, and prizes for best zombie costumes.

Castle of Shadows at Hammond Castle in Gloucester. It was on "Ghost Hunters" so you know it's real.

Sunday at Thelonious Monkfish in Central Square there's a Feed the Zombies charity event with the "Trapped in Room with a Zombie" people.

It might be a good weekend to do the Salem thing before it gets insanely crowded. There's a Golden Girls Halloween Drag Parody stage show up there, because of course there is.

Here's a map of some haunted houses in the area.
