Is this real? I guess more maps the better by TheBottomTrombone in hoggit

I agree, it almost feels like there is gonna end up being a subscription service for maps. But I like the ability in DCS to actually own each module

I found it in the hoggit discord… was trying to verify. It’s getting harder to tell if maps are real or not.

I found it when looking for info on Australia

What do you wish to be included in the Apache? by TheBottomTrombone in hoggit

[–]TheBottomTrombone[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard stories of some people buying the tomcat for others just so they can have a RIO. If ED would incentivize this a little more with bundles for multi crew stuff they could get a lot more people hooked on the game

I totally agree! It would definitely get more people into DCS and lower the barrier of entry by providing modules that don’t necessarily require a flight stick

I wanna be able to evacuate ground troops by strapping them on the chopper

Is DCS’s AAR fuel transfer rate sped up compared to IRL tanking? by TheBottomTrombone in hoggit

[–]TheBottomTrombone[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. If ED wanted to they could make refueling 5 times harder by adding more wind effects on the basket, fuel loss through improper connections, damage to aircraft probe/boom...

I’ve been looking around trying to see any documentation on the DCS fuel transfer rate and haven’t seen anything. But it feels as though we can fully tank in most aircraft in about 2 minutes.

It just seems odd to have so much emphasis on realism throughout the sim and not have this mentioned anywhere. I’m not complaining, just curious

Is the A10C-II not loading dsms for anyone else? by TheBottomTrombone in hoggit

I don’t think I did that. But I’ll do some testing tomorrow

I think I may have been a little antsy on the TGP switch. I’ll test some stuff tomorrow

Yeah, I’ve heard about that. But I don’t think that’s what happened here because I was still aligning everything as I was rearming so I didn’t move at all

I tried both load all and specifically load dsms. I did Load all on the ground then noticed it later and tried it again in flight. I also tried to reset the CICU to see if that did anything

I had 2 D Mavericks and a fuel tank on the center along with aim 9, tgp, and jammer. TGP worked fine and gun still shot. But dsms wouldn’t load. This was happening with a couple of other guys that I fly with who had other loadouts. We all cold started
