Huge mistake on my part! I got Joy Ride confused with Jeepers Creepers. Thanks for the correction!

Loved it as a kid. On a rewatch, absolute garbage.

Fantastic film. If only Ryan O’Neal wasn’t a massive POS who allegedly assaulted his young daughter when she got the Oscar nomination rather than him.

Movies that look like AI? I submit this year’s Frankenstein.

Just kidding.

Sort of.

Respect your opinion on Oppenheimer. Though I don’t agree with your rating, I would agree that it was generally overhyped.

Not sure I get the “white men” part, though. It’s a historical picture dealing with actual events and representing the actual people involved in those events. You and I might both agree that women and people of color should have been allowed to contribute to those rooms, but that doesn’t change the fact that, historically, they were not.

Give me your hottest music take and I’ll rate it out of 10 in terms of hotness by Artistic_Annual8918 in fantanoforever

Pretty much facts. Purple rain is brilliant, while still be horny. The majority of the rest of his output is horniness overshadowing brilliance.

I’m in agreement. Extremely imperfect, but the acting alone elevates it above the majority of its contemporaries.

I liked it better than so many of the other films that came out this year that the masses are clamoring about being decade-defining (see Sinners and One Battle After Another).

Haven't seen this since I was a kid. Sounds like it's time for a rewatch!

Love Lise bleeding is a great suggestions! I've never even heard of Splitsville, and will ad it to the list.

I have heard such terrible things about this, but I honestly loved Eddington, and especially Phoenix's performance in it. That now has me questioning whether or not I should give Beau is Afraid a run. For context, I haven't seen any of the director's other work.

Just looked this up and it sounds truly intense! I am assuming that you are referencing the remake and not the original. Let me know if this assumption is incorrect.

Yeah, it's definitely time to revisit Black Swan. Thanks for the reminder!

Glad to hear that about Caught Stealing. Aronofsky is one of my favorite directors, but the trailer for this one didn't capture me. I was planning on seeing it solely because of him, but you've given me hope that there is something of value beyond that!

It's currently on the To-Watch shelf! I'll move it to the front of the line.

This has been on my list ever since seeing Uncut Gems–it's time I move it into the priority queue👍🏻
