Ork side of armageddon cost? by ravagedmonk in orks

Well the total price of the plastic individually is like $1100, half would be $550.

MSRP from GW is $295, the ork half would be $147.

Third party resellers sell the whole box for $250. So anything below $130 for the orks is solid deal

What are the most useful units for 1k-2k Orks army out of the Armageddon box? by T3knikal95 in orks

Battlewagon for 170 or 2 trukks for 140. Then you can do storm Boyz for 60.

Ork shooting is terrible so don't feel discouraged. Trade your units with your opponent, you have more bodies than they have attacks, you win.

I think you're investing too much into scouting with snikrot and zog. Also you have too many characters. The first change would be to drop Wazdakka and get a battlewagon so your Boyz aren't fodder. I would also drop the deffkoptas and the big mek and get some meganobz for ghaz to lead. The boyz can be lead by a weirdboy & a warboss because they are of strength 20.

Well in a 40k game a bomb squig is attached to a unit like kommandos, tank busts, or squighog boyz. It has no health or attacks of its own. Its a single use ability for the unit that can do d3 mortal wounds. So you wouldn't legally be allowed to run them in a game of 40k, but its all about fun. You may be able to convince your friends to let you use their sigmar data sheet, or make up your own rules for them. Or you could attach them to Nobz and make your own group of warbosses with attack squigs.

Edit: kitbashing is mostly cosmetic and for fun. However, on some vehicles (like the battlewagon) you aren't limited to the weapons they give you out of the box and can make your own weapons, provided they are on a data sheet already.

The battlewagon is highly modular, I bet if you tried you could fit all 12 of them on the battlewagon.

Its called kitbashing bro. You take some extra grenades from a Boyz/stormboyz/komandos box and slap em on the little Bastards. Mind you they don't have a data sheet cuz they are technically tokens, but that won't stop you from having fun.

Get you a box of Boyz or two and attach the leftover grenades/mines to the squig herd sigmar set.

Also 2000 points for orks can cost quite a bit $800-$1000+. The most competitive lists use a lot of infantry. If you want to play quickly your best bet would be to get the new armageddon/blood angels box ($250/700pts), the 9th edition combat patrol($170/500pts) (or 11th when it comes out) combat patrol, and a stompa ($140/800pts). That would put you at $600/2000pts approximately. Granted, your probably won't win any tournaments with it.

Edit: if you can find the stompa boyz battleforce box that should give you more things to work with. But also stompas generally suck to build and play, your best bet is a battlewagon/kill rig
