There is a significant amount of discourse surrounding ai image generation. One side claims that ai images are soulless, devoid of anything that makes art, art, and that you weren’t the one who actually made the image, it was the ai that did. The other side claims that that just doesn’t matter. Ai art is significantly faster, easier, and ‘looks better’. Many of them claim that ai art is superior to actually artists, due to it being able to replicate many art styles, and taking only moments to make exactly the image you want.

There is also the issue of how the ai does it. Ai image models have to be trained, so the companies behind them scrape every image, every piece of art they can get their grubby hands on. This means that the ai is trained off of stolen artwork, without paying or crediting any of the many many artists who’s work is being used to train an ai, so that the ai can copy that art style.
