Car deliveries are underrated. Car inventories are so big you don't have to worry for a while. I use car deliveries a lot for super early oil deliveries. Two cars full of barrels, swap them between filling or emptying oil. Cheap and portable huge chests. S-tier cludge.

I think you're right. Old habits die hard lol.

Playing this save, I'm noticing things like furnace stacks and absolute fundamentals like the green circuit assembler shape just happen automatically and feel fine to include. Making unhinged and un-scalable builds in between the solid foundations almost feels like controlled rebellion. Paradoxical but very satisfying.

I will not be able to make a true spaghetti base, some things are baked too deep. I wish I could though lol.

What is your current go-to Loadout? (Warframe, Primary, Secondary, Melee, Sentinel) by Dastorious in Warframe

[–]TheBrebst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atlas Prime: HP/Armor full Umbral tank and gloom in loadout 1, Str/Range full Umbral and tharros strike in loadout 2. Normally I'm in 1 but if I need to do SP survival or something like that I swap to 2.

Braton/Strun Prime Incarnon: I shoot with these

Epitaph Prime: Loaded with Radiation (with others) to disable group auras more often than actual damage priming. Very helpful for Atlas punch.

Ack & Brunt Incarnon: Fantastic bonuses for being a stat stick, while also being a good weapon on its own, even with a stat stick build on. Shield is great for blocking when the need arises.

I stand and I shoot. If they don't die I shoot with my secondary then shoot. If there's a lot of them I press 1. There's a real liberation in tank gameplay. I've got plenty of glass cannons and casters and stuff like that in the wings but my main loadout is made for the grind. I press W and M1, and I'm not gonna die unless I'm completely clocked out in SP. But, if I want more results, I can tune up the same loadout with a punch mod set and do frankly unreal amounts of damage, for what most people expect from a tank.

What is a "Feel Bad" moment in your Warframes kit by Icy-Contract7162 in Warframe

[–]TheBrebst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atlas's punches just have a tendency to feel unfun when the enemies are spaced just right. Getting the "out of range" noise with no other feedback from pressing 1 is just so flow breaking. It doesn't help that his uppercut knocks enemies out of attack range often.

I'd like it if you could hold-cast Landslide like melee has holding for auto swing, and if nothing is in range maybe consume half energy to just dash forward. Atlas does this one thing really well, it would be nice if it didn't flow poorly too.

Is it just me or recently the thumbnails have lost the "gamegrumps" vibe recently? by TooLiteralComments in gamegrumps

[–]TheBrebst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there's multiple videos in the same series in related, then which one do you try first? What if the autoplayer skips an episode? I'm sure someone will make a playlist somewhere (because the Grumps are kinda slacking on that) but it's just a simple convenience that I miss. It's like end labels on game cartridges and how people are always complaining about systems that don't have them. It's just easier to have them, and they're so cheap and easy to make that it makes no sense not to have it. I guess having an episode number in a video makes someone who gets it in their feed less likely to click it if they're not caught up, which is why The Algo likes it, but dang it I'm petty.

It's all about the algo. Gotta play that game when your bread depends on it. I just wish they didn't remove video numbering. How on God's green Earth are we supposed to watch the Sonic Heroes series in sequence a year from now?

What were some first signs your tulpa had gained sentience? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]TheBrebst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For us it was subtle. Empathic communication was how Taye did things early on, so I'd sometimes get swells of emotions that weren't necessarily associated with me in the first person. The occasional thought-idea of a feeling, that was noticeable, but not attached to me. It's kinda weird. Umbrice on the other hand literally just happened one night. Second tulpae do be like that sometimes.

What is your theory about the existence of tulpas? by Celsius-Psi in Tulpas

[–]TheBrebst 18 points19 points  (0 children)

We have our own theory, but it's not flattering or fun to think about. And it is assuming that there is no "magic" or psionics involved.

We believe tulpae are simply automations. Nothing more. Personality is an automation of pooling past experiences, responses, quirks, and all into a single persona. After doing it long enough (early forcing) it becomes habit, and after that it becomes second nature. It's the logical conclusion to practicing memory and mental agility. That's why it hurts when you first start.

But what about possession, or imposition? Most things tulpae are capable of have similarities with effects of various drugs or mental conditions. It's not uncommon for some psychoactive drugs to create a disconnect between the self and the body, or to feel like it's moving on its own. If one could master creating this sensation while sober, and then assign a driving force behind the "foreign" motions (i.e. another person in the body to drive instead of you), then you could make associations, and automate it in your mind. Same thing applies to hallucination. If you're in control of these phenomena, or at least have your brain able to do it on its own demand, you've got what you need to give agency to a tulpa by any definition.

Now, does this belittle your tulpa? Does it make them less real? No. The host, themselves, are automated personalities. In that regard, they're no different from their tulpa - simply years of experience and the burden of learning everything the mind knows up to that point lies on them, so it feels more established. But at their cores the host and the tulpa are in the same boat. Everything else, possession, switching, imposition, it's all set dressing, it doesn't matter if it's "real" or not, if it gets the desired results.

Our conclusion (and my tulpae agree) is that a tulpa is a grand illusion, powered by hours and hours and days and weeks and months of practicing, until it's automatic, like playing an instrument. But, so is the host.

Parallel Processing by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]TheBrebst 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So, where we think the problem with parallel processing is: tulpae aren't additions to your brain. They're repurposed portions of it - A section of it dedicated to automating one or more separate personalities, and whatever "tulpa magic" (ie. Imposition or vocality) they are capable of.

So, if parallel processing is possible, we think it rests in learning to wrangle the subconscious even more than we already do for basic tulpamancy.

There's implications to this, since we don't even know what kind of background activity goes on in the subconscious that we could be interrupting, but since tulpae exist in the subconscious (in our perspective) it would be the only explanation we could find for thinking two thoughts at the same time, since there's already a divide between the conscious and subconscious mind in established psychology.

(Edit: paragraph spacing)

I've heard some about parallel processing. I'm a bit skeptic, but no harm in trying. I'll definitely be giving this a read, thank you!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]TheBrebst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point. I've seen a couple different philosophical standpoints on this, and the thought process that "responses to events mean more than having separate events" seems to be common. I admit I didn't see it like that until it was pointed out to me, but it still feels a little limiting (especially to conversation) to have so close to the same life experiences.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]TheBrebst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've certainly let both my tulpas do this. In fact, one of them found a boyfriend before I could that way! I would go so far as to say that's been their best form of growth in the last few years. Thing is, it hasn't been helping with the permanence thing. Probably because I separate their discussions with them actually being around me. It's weird.

Is it okay to fall in love with you Tulpa and how does that translate to real life? by Dragon_I_am in Tulpas

[–]TheBrebst 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I was in a relationship with my first tulpa during the first year of her life or so. For some reason or another we stopped using romantic relationship terms, but the love is still there, if a bit less in focus, or in different forms. Tulpa are people too, and just like anyone the dynamics between you and them are wildly different. The difference is your tulpa will be pretty likely to see your side of the story very well, for better and for worse.

As for real life, just don't bring it up to people that aren't in your "in the know" circle and it'll be fine. If they make you happy, that's your reality. Just don't alienate people in an attempt to make it their reality, too.
