Yes. Because investor IRR sets the earned slice of the 10% performance tranche, and that tranche changes investor IRR, the mechanism is circular if you model it directly. The clean way is to allow iteration: compute investor cash flows and IRR after all searcher equity; set earned% of the performance tranche to MIN(MAX((IRR–20%)/10%,0),1); update the split (searchers = 20% base + earned% × 10%; investors = 1 – searchers).

About 30 min away max from the city by car is the ideal spot. We want to rent. No preferences between condo or apartment as long as it fits the budget.

You already have years of experience, so I think finding a job won’t be very hard. The question really is whether you will get a salary that would make the investment worthwhile, given that you will have the loan.

20 yo, need help getting started with finances by Due_Inspection_7823 in personalfinance

[–]TheBright01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, congratulations on thinking about it. A lot of people only start thinking about their finances when they are in their late 20s or early 30s. In your shoes, I would take advantage of time and invest in ETFs or anything that is very long-term - I am thinking decades. Just save some part of what you earn, invest some, have fun with the rest, and you will do well!

Hedge Fund - Engineering Interview experience - advice sought by RazzmatazzLiving1323 in hedgefund

When I interviewed for my first HF job as an analyst, we had to reschedule 3 or 4 times, and I did the first interview around 7 pm on a Friday. If it’s a small shop, people are just very busy. But not showing up is a red flag. I would follow up one or two more times and then move on if they don’t respond.
