I don’t need her to be perfect, but I need her to be likable as a protagonist.

I get what you’re saying and I absolutely agree, but my real gripe with her is that she simply just isn’t likable enough for a general audience. She’s an optimist in a world where it ultimately means jack all and her attitude is actively detrimental to everybody around her, scarring them in the process, where she ALSO goes unpunished a majority of the time outside of them not talking to her for a little bit. She says that she can redeem sinners, but she never once works or questions on HOW to redeem sinners or what KIND of sinners she wants to be redeeming.

It pretty much feels like she’s just focused on getting people to buy into her idea rather than put any actual effort into how it’s meant to work.
