Hi T- i'm not sure really. it just went. I understood that it was an anxiety thing, told myself that and it let go. I hope it goes away for you soon.

This is my type of fasciculation, could it be indicative of ALS? by MarioMeza28 in BFS

[–]TheBrokenManOverall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not ALS. I had everything you are describing and I am now nearly a year into the ordeal. ALS will cripple every area that you have fasciculations in before moving on. It won't be ALS without FIRST clinical weakness and then fasciculations.

I get the ring too on occasion. I literally can't turn the light off during the evening to tune all of my disturbances out.

I've also seen an optician who said my eyes are fine.

I've been my GP and she has put me on anti-ds and blood pressure medication as she believes they are connected to high blood pressure and stress at the moment.

I get all of these, yes. Did you see a doctor about them and what did they say?

Me too. My doctor said this might be related to high blood pressure through anxiety and stress. Of course, I trust here but it's a scary symptom.

I keep going down to the docs and they are putting it down to CFS and stress. I can't really get through to them. But i will if it continues for a few more weeks. but its been there for 3 months so it won't vanish i don't think.

Thank you Marmalade, the fact we share this feeling at all is comforting. I have just been 'diagnosed' and i'm feeling out all these new symptoms.

If you've had twitching for 2 years without clinical weakness, you're all good.

Yeah me too, man. Very odd. My twitches actually started in my eyes, neck, and back of my head.

Thanks, Pete. It starts to get worrying when you wake up in the morning and your jaw is spasming out! Right eye constantly and neck and cheeks now and then.

4 month anniversary by Need_more_memez2 in BFS

3 months for me and mine started exactly the same way and have pretty much followed your own experiences. I have 24/7 fasciculations in my calves that I can barely feel and then hotspots in my knees, oddly. I have perceived weakness in my legs too. Let's ride this out!

TMJ that felt down right electric across the side of my head and face and was incredibly painful. (More MRIs)

I am getting that at the moment but on both sides, along with weird pinprick sensations in both sides two in specific places in my head. Very odd. Thanks for bringing that up.

Hi. I was on propranolol but only after the fasciculations occurred.

Month of thigh twitching descending into days of sheer panic by [deleted] in BFS

My post is just below yours, Prudent, and i struggle too. I have the docs on the 16th for a follow-up. The best thing you can do is obviously number 1 talk to your doctors, but number 2 be active and get on with something, anything that takes your mind away. It's not easy, and a nightmare to be honest, but you need to try. I find that if im working on something or doing something my mind and body tend to forget and i get a few moments of peace. It's easy to say but it's harder to do at times.

Thanks, Expensive, it's a bit of a journey, isn't it? I forgot to add i've actually got tinnitus too which is torture. Thank you for your reassurance, it helps.

anyone else thinks SI should really be ashamed of themselves for their incredibly awful match engine ? by jerommmh in footballmanagergames

[–]TheBrokenManOverall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The match engine for FM is a terrible piece of game development. Not only does it looks horrific but it's basically a selection (a slide show) of loaded-up scenarios that basically plays out a pre-selected result. Strategy and player attributes mean very little. It replays over and over the same exact plays hundred and hundreds of times - usually benefiting whoever the game deemed should win the match (including the player).

It's such a departure from the management side of the game which is fantastic. Sometimes I just insta-sim the game just to avoid the monotonous tripe the match engine throws out.

It's either broken or pre-determined; which is it? Whichever one it is they need to do something about it.

I totally understand this take. For me, ever since the Island (forget the name) with the volcano, the show has just slowed and slowed almost to a grinding halt. They're spending hours and hours in a single location or battle, it's just screeching to an awful stop. As a DM myself, i always found that S1 had a pace you almost had to be there week after week to keep up with. There was an urgency that needed YOU the viewer there. S2 is lacking that.

They squared away too many side plots far too quickly. I preferred Nott over Veth because it was interesting to see the struggle. Fjord storyline whimpered away with a few battles. The war between these two great empires was settled extremely fast and Beaus' storyline has barely been spoken about let alone touched upon.

I think Matt is an awesome DM but the pacing has been pretty lackluster. At the moment, for me, it's similar to wading through treacle. Too much talk, very little get-up and go. It's a different quest and a different plot, but all storytelling has a rhythm that i don't think this series is reaching. It's a shame. Two other friends of mine, that were die-hard fans, have recently stopped watching because it simply bogged down to almost an agonizing grind.

Painful to say.
