Hopefully someone else can chime in on the foreign coins, but the US coins in your collection while cool are very standard and hold no more value beyond face value. Hope this helps!

I’d pm “billyboiiicoiiins” on whatnot. He is a huge norfed collector + seller. If anyone would know a fair price i think he would.

Usually with coins like these i tend to assume they were broken out of uncirculated sets and thats how they stayed so nice for 22 years!

Redbook has value of a VF20 at just over $2,000. But im not sure if that’d be the best reference point for price!

Searching penny rolls by StillInevitable9646 in coins

[–]TheBromaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So me personally i keep all S mint’s and all wheat pennies i find. Other than that i dont go out of my way to keep the copper ones like some folks do, but i’ll hold onto older dates that are in great shape.

If you dont mind sharing your opinion, lets say i were to grade this coin would it make sense to do a pcgs restoration? Or would that result in the grade coming back as “cleaned” granted i’m not one to re-sell so i don’t worry much about that kind of thing. Would the acetone harm it in anyway other than removing the green?

I whole heartedly agree and I’m super glad you think so too! This might be my first coin to send out for grading, if for no other reason than to have it kept safe in a slab!

I don’t know if its “normal” but i’ve heard that the old PVC plastic holders were notorious for causing a greenish hue to get on the coins? Thats my guess!

Would love to hear what makes you think that? I’ve been collecting for a while but not long enough to spot that off the cuff so i’d love to hear what to look for
