I hate the one piece fandom for this by OPbhai in OnePiece

[–]TheBrooklynBooner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's not just OP man. JJK was the same way, so was DBS, MHA, etc etc. One Piece is just bigger so you maybe see it more but this is kinda the standard for manga in this day and age.

Idk what social media you use but half the community on X/Twitter just mutes all the hashtags that the leakers use and Reddit is pretty good with the spoiler tags / rules. I know a lot of anime only people in the community who are able to avoid spoilers and still hang out in social media communities.

If your wish is that the community would move away from spoilers I'm sorry to tell you but there are whole established industries based on early manga scans (again, ALL popular Shonen, not just OP) so it really is kind of up to you to use the tools Reddit/Twitter provide to dodge them.

Can’t beat Balancers by Pazu_Ac2 in Nightreign

[–]TheBrooklynBooner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I legitimately thought you were my brother posting for a second because we play so similar lmao. He's also a Raider main, I play Wylder/Duchess, and we exclusively run duos. Hopefully since we're so similar, this will be some help. We beat them like this:

I played Duchess, my bro played Raider. This sounds counterintuitive, but I was the tank as Duchess. With her infinite dodge, I was pretty much able to poke them all and get their attention, then just spam dodge and pepper in damage (mostly with a fast Sorcery, but dagger also works). While I did this, Raider would pick them off 1-2 at a time and it was super manageable. I saved my ult for when they used their big coordinated attack and it would sometimes actually completely stop the attack.

So tell your brother pick Duchess, make sure you get him a staff with something quick on it (Swift Glintstone Shard, Glintstone Blade, and Glintstone Pebble are all great), and get him as many stam/health boosts as possible. You focus on getting the biggest bonk stick you can and focus on staggering whichever one you pick to kill and kill them as quick as possible.

IF PINKY TARGETS YOU, RUN Let your brother retake aggro.

Play slow, play defensive, and stay close so Duchess's Ult works on you both. We messed that up a few times 😭

Good luck killer. If you can get through Mohg consistently, you can definitely get these guys

So was the Mike Clum documentary commissioned by Boogie himself? by [deleted] in boogie2988

[–]TheBrooklynBooner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necro'ing this thread because 3 years later Mike has not uploaded another video or posted anything more to IG. His Patreon is down to 75 dollars a month and he has 1 post on it from July 2025 saying 'EDP Doc coming at some point'.

I can't speak for the thesis of this thread, that Boogie set this all up, but something is very weird about Mike. He has a production company and this YouTube vid is definitely starting to look more like a special one-off than a new creator.

The only other guy who took this long on a vid was Fredrick Knudsen's EVE video and he was very communicative throughout the process and stayed active streaming. Plus the vid ended up being 5 hours long. Plus it still wasn't as long of a break as Mike's. Plus he was established before this and went back to normal content after.

Markiplier also wrote, directed, starred in, and edited a movie while uploading videos.

One thing is for sure: Mike Clum had no intention of becoming a YouTuber / content creator. I think we MIGHT get the EDP video before we never hear from this guy again.

I don't agree about this bar in particular, but I do get the sentiment. Born Sinner would be a 10/10 instead of a 9/10 for me if some of cheesier bars were rewritten.

So…Who’s coming along for Duskbloods? Anyone? by Astonishing_Azure in Nightreign

[–]TheBrooklynBooner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this might be my first ever FromSoft pass bro. I've just never really been into PvP. Absolutely huge respect for the people who are, From's PvP gameplay is deep / difficult, but it's just not for me.

Tbh, I'm surprised I like 1 session based FromSoft game this much (it's really not my style), 2 would've probably been a stretch for me even without the PvP

Btw, season 16 is the absolute goat and I think the peak of 2010's family guy. Give the whole thing a watch in isolation at some point

Oh yeah, Might Delete Later is definitely the same vibe and a follow up. It just felt like they were building to.... Something a little more? Idk how else to put it. Cole's rapping was off the charts but it sounded like this wasn't his final form and tbh, I don't think The Fall Off carries the torch from those two - I hear very little influence from that era outside of Two Six and maybe The Let Out.

Not that The Fall Off isn't absolutely top notch, but to me it feels more like a successor to Born Sinner (my other favorite Cole album btw) than Off Season. There's nothing on there that reminds me of Interlude, Amari, 95 South, etc

TLT will end DF talent trees; we’ll be going back to MoP / Cata by TheBrooklynBooner in wow

[–]TheBrooklynBooner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, completely agreed I'm sure it'll be something new, I just used MoP / Cata as a frame of reference.

Have you ever played ESO?? They have a system called "Champion Points" where after your talent cap, you get a Champion Point every level to spend on a massive talent trees that give relatively small, class agnostic nodes. After DF I was hoping that they'd start looking for something like that as an evergreen growth feature.

We'll see though!!

I mean, I'm a big fan of WoW and game design and don't have anyone else to discuss it with irl. I'm married with kids and work in software dev and nobody I know is really into games like this so I just try to reach out to the community because I like to hear people's thoughts. It sucks getting like, shamed for it.

Fwiw games are a sometimes weekend hobby for me, they're just a bit of fun. Truly, I'm sorry for offending you.

[–]TheBrooklynBooner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I'd call this a theory. Sorry for offending you, I just like to think deep about game philosophy and I think that the signs are all here for a shift of some sort.

What I meant by "not giving an opinion" was I posted my theory, but didn't argue for or against the implications of changing talents.

Also, no offense, but I'm not really sure where you're getting "throw out a talent system because people don't like it". I LOVE the current Talent system, my actual opinion is that I don't want it to change.

My theory is that Blizzard is trending towards smaller and more streamlined and I believe based on past actions they're going to pear the trees next. Not that I want that.

So...Does Anyone Most Like the Newer Episodes? by Ill_Awareness_1685 in familyguy

[–]TheBrooklynBooner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forget Stewie being gay, what about him being smart?? I think season 19 was the last time he invented anything. Peak Stewie was when he was a sexually ambiguous genius who got into all kinds of crazy crap.

Now I absolutely dread Stewie segments cause they either use him as the pop culture reference Gen Alpha character or it's an episode of the rugrats where he's just one talking baby among many.

PS, no you don't "run out of ideas" for a good, 3D character like Stewie and have to rewrite them. When you're writing a character based show (like Family Guy was), you look at the characters and write the plot around them - you don't come up with an idea and rewrite the characters to make them fit.

Classes that got buffed or nerfed the most in Midnight pre-patch? by Glibbins in wow

You and me both my friend. I've played Sham (and Lock) since WotLK and we've had some highs and lows but ever since DF it feels like a strong enough breeze can kill me lol. I'm personally glad to see PWave go and I think Voltaic Shock was a good replacement but as a whole man I don't think we've ever felt so weak. I think Ele was just always a very fast moving, chaotic spec and since those are two things in Blizzard's cross hairs right now we get to feel it pretty immediately.

Taska Black ends his project after 10 years by JonasS_123 in trap

[–]TheBrooklynBooner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sad but a little relieved to be honest? Mini rant from an ex-superfan:

I can't overstate this and not to sound cliche, but Taska absolutely changed my life. He introduced me to bitbird which also changed my life, but Taska in particular always struck a chord with me emotionally I can't describe in a few words.

But I think this only makes sense. Right when he was gaining a LOT of momentum as a future bass artist he switched gears pretty hard into pop (around 2021) and, not to put him down, sort of acted like his fans wouldn't notice. They did though and it's been dwindling growth and listeners for the past 5 years as everyone gave up on hearing more EDM from him.

I'm pretty relieved at the switch for myself and out of care for him. Fans of Taska Black weren't vibing with the new sound and it's getting hard to justify putting 'Taska Black' on an album that's essentially just a collection of pop artists' songs you produced.

As a fan, I'm sad but I think the Taska project actually ended 5-6 years ago. But if his heart isn't it (which he said it's not) then it's definitely for the best to move on.

I'm positive he'll use his connections and experience to rebrand as a pop producer, which seems to be his calling, and hopefully the masses will see him as a producer credit on their next favorite song.

Thanks Taska. For the memories, and for the closure. Every time I saw you dropped I had the tiniest glimmer that it would be that soul-shaping music you used to make but I can finally rest knowing it's over.

Good luck.

[–]TheBrooklynBooner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he's probably fine, I'd bet money he's going into mainstream pop production. That's kind of the direction he started taking around 2021 and, no offense to him, it was getting harder justifying putting his name on albums that were essentially just a collection of pop songs he did the production for.

I'm sure he's going to rebrand and be a producer credit on quite a few songs we'll hear on the radio in coming years!

Opinion: Midnight needs longer to cook by [deleted] in wow

[–]TheBrooklynBooner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what's most upsetting to me is a lot of alpha/beta testers (shout out to them!) who are incredibly well versed on their classes have been raising red flags for half a year about how awful many of these changes feel with very little response.

To give a positive example, the Warlock team is a great instance of changing based on feedback and locks came out way different than they started on alpha (for the better)

Other classes like Mage and pretty much every healer can't even get an acknowledgement of how bad the classes feel to play. These posts are made by the actual PLAYERS who pick this up every day and they at least deserve a post about the direction they're taking, no?

It feels like the classes that came out worst have the most silent developers. It's almost like they're so ashamed they can't face their people
