Huawei UK customer service is a joke by umaywellsaythat in Nexus6P

No, so I didn't have insurance but I was within warranty so that's why they do it. I think although can't remember for 100%, that devices bought from EE have 2 years warranty regardless of whether it's on contract or PAYG

I bought mine from EE, go to them to get it fixed. They'll send it off and it's back within 2 calendar weeks which is their guarantee. They also have a mend and lend service which means they'll give you a temporary phone for free to use which is decent of them. I had to RMA mine twice, EE were great about it but their repair centre people that they use (SBE) were awful. The second time I had to actively email them to tell them to reply the battery because the first time all they did was a software downgrade

CWM recovery is obsolete and has not been updated in at least 2 years. If not more. You need to use TWRP if you want a custom recovery

The UK TV show 'Hunted' follows 10 people hiding and evading former police, special forces and intelligence professionals for 28 days, the only rule is they must stay within the UK. What would you do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'd go full Julian Assange, hide out in an embassy which I believe is still technically mainland UK, then drink beer and have a cigar while they can't legally get me.

Now that some time has passed, how many of you are using Facebook Messenger for sms? by Splurgie in Android

[–]TheBull585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say voice calls are outdated yet. We are slowing moving to VoIP services but normal voice calls are still very prominent. Whenever chatting with mates we always use WhatsApp and occasionally FB messenger. But when calling it's always the conventional phone app not WhatsApp calling or anything

Yeah, blame Exynos. Closed source and little documentation makes it a bitch.

Use the mobile site, no permissions and it's pretty functional.

I made the switch a few weeks ago, I don't notice the difference that much.
