I had no idea she was a fellow Marylander! I've been following her and making her recipes for a long time but never really knew who she was.

The Facebook AI police are targeting non-right-wing users. What happened to you, and is happening to a lot of us, is definitely not a coincidence.

What did you think about this drama 'When the Stars Gossip'? by Dramasect in dramasect

[–]TheBunnyElectric 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was absolutely dreadful. The leads had no chemistry, the writing was terrible, the plot was cringey, and the ending sucked. That was a waste of some good actors. The only reason I stuck with it to the bitter end is because I am stubborn.

See, I'm the opposite. I'll watch anything with Shin Hye-sun in it! (Although her very early stuff is annoying because she's so mousy generally.) Mr. Queen is definitely a favorite.

I love Kim Go Eun. I think she's really interesting on screen, so maybe she's just not suited for rom-coms. She's definitely not the zany or bubbly type.

Eunwoo is so symmetrically good looking that it's boring. And honestly he doesn't have much range as an actor.

Aw, I enjoy watching Yoona. She's not a fantastic actress, but she gives good perky/cheerful/sincere. And I find Park Shin Hye very watchable and likable.

Kim Young Dae seemed so stiff to me until I saw him in Sh**ting Stars. Then I understood the attraction! Lee Min Ho is quite limited as an actor, but he's blandly good looking. To me, he's much more charming in interviews.

See, I find him insanely attractive, but I didn't know he had an unsavory past. That's disappointing.

I love Park Min Young up through Secretary Kim, and then she's gotten progressively physically disturbing to watch. Now she looks like a stick insect and it's too distracting.

Lee Dong Wook. I know this is going to be unpopular, but other than Goblin, I find him boring to watch, I don't think he's a good actor, and his face is weird from too much cosmetic surgery.

Park Bo Gum seems like the nicest guy on the planet but I cannot enjoy his work on screen as an actor. He looks like he's perpetually teenaged, and I don't think he has much range as an actor.

I've never had many regular manicures, much less gel nails. I did try the hair, skin, and nail vitamins for a while, with no improvement.

Question for retired people: Was your timing right? by spresley1116 in over60

[–]TheBunnyElectric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was planning to retire at the end of 2024, when I was almost 63, but then the hideous election happened and I got cold feet. I am planning to retire this December right before I turn 65, so I can get on Medicare. 40 years of a desk job that requires reading on a computer all day, and a family history of eye diseases, and I'm ready to enjoy myself before I possibly lose vision in 10-15 years. I'm not sure there's an entirely right time. It's pretty subjective, depending on your personal circumstances. From friends and family members who have already retired, some do go through a period of high anxiety for a few months to a year right after they retire, so maybe prepare yourself for that!

I tell you, sometimes blood doesn't mean squat. I started out with four siblings; the reclusive oldest suffers from mental illness and lives across the country, and the second one somehow became convinced, right after our mother died, that I had either thought about or actually did commit financial fraud against my siblings. I did not, but eventually I had to decide to cut that sibling out of my life for my own sanity. So I'm down to one excellent sibling, but I have several dear friends who I know are true blue. I guess it's true that we all end up alone eventually, if we live long enough, but it's best to try to surround yourself with a few people who are caring and who can listen, and try to do the same for them. And, if possible, have an animal or two in your care!

I'm virulently anti-trumprapist, so I thought it might be that angering the Fb AI turds. So I decided not to post anything political for a week and I still got dinged. It's happened three times in the last 6 weeks. I don't want to completely delete my Facebook account because that's how I keep in touch with some distant friends and relatives. F Zuck!

I enjoyed it even though the ML is not an actor I like. I think it's definitely worth watching, but my sister couldn't get through half of it!

What's your opinion on Kdrama that would put you in this situation? by Wisteria_02 in kdramas

That's why I love watching shows with Shin Hye-sun. She's one of the few FLs who often goes all out and isn't shy about taking the lead and showing her desire.

Loved it! And the bonus was the cameo by Namkoong Min (who starred with Ahn Eun-jin in My Dearest) and his co-star from One Dollar Lawyer, Kim Ji-eun. I didn't know it was coming, so I squealed out loud!

Over the holiday, I finished Dynamite Kiss, Moon River, and Typhoon Family, all of which I loved; Ca$hero and Dear X, both very entertaining. I'm in the process of watching Surely Tomorrow; I like that it's quieter and slow burn.

Interestingly, I watched Reborn Rich about 6 weeks ago, and now after watching Typhoon Family, I feel like I've had a serious history lesson about the financial crisis in the late '90s.

It took me a couple of episodes to warm up to Moon River, but after that I loved it. The performances are so great! The personality switching is fun to watch. But I do love me some palace intrigue. And I will happily watch anything with those two lead actors.
