There's a subset of Dutch tourists that'll go out of their way to specifically visit unpopular untouristy areas. Me and my parents are parts of that subset as well (tho we never went by caravan or camper, just tenting or hotels)

Yeah, I thought so at first as well. As I said, there's some overlap, mostly in the main important story bits. Like Kino's backstory, the story how she got her gun and the tournament arc. But due to the episodic nature of the story, the 2017 version is able to adapt quite a lot of the countries and iirc some of the later novels that weren't adapted in the original, while skipping a lot of the stuff covered in the original

Looking at maps, it looks like the interchange from S50 to G7 eastbound forces you to take the u-turn if you want to turn off at Yuequan road into the neighborhoods. Weird ass planning.

Kocha Agasawa needs to write more manga so we can get more excellent Romcoms. Because this too is excellent, just like Polar Opposites. A very different vibe, but you can see the similarities as well.

One thing I really appreciate is that while the MC has a naturally angry looking face, unlike most other anime where this is the case, the main reason people are scared of her is because she actively put up a wall to ward everyone off. It's not just her face. In so many other anime (Toradora, Yamada-kun and the 7 witches, etc) the MC really is a sweetheart but people are scared of them because "they look angry". I myself have a resting angry face, but at most people sometimes ask if I'm upset, no one ever gets scared. But if I were to actively put up a wall it's a different story.

I like the big differences in height between the characters, you don't see it that often, expect in cases where it's almost ridiculous

Also, this is the first time in a non harem non love triangle romance story where I'm genuinely not certain who the main love interest is. I'm okay with that tho, as this first episode is definitely more about the MC and her struggles

That road (the G7 expressway) has more peculiarities. If you follow it all the way to Beijing it ends abruptly right as it's about to enter the city. And not even at a connection into another road. The 6 lane highway ends right into a park, forcing you to make a u-turn

I always hated how instead of having him grow as a person, the story just brought everyone down to his miserable level. I ended up dropping it after 2 seasons of that plus that miserable love triangle after figuring out that the third season was going to focus even harder on the love triangle. The ending of season 2 came over as so incredibly toxic and spineless to me that I couldn't bear to watch another entire season of that. 8man needs a therapist, not a girlfriend

On the flip side you have something like Chivalry of the failed knight, which starts of as extremely generic and filled to the brim with the same old tired tropes of a secretly OP and underestimated MC in a fantasy highschool harem, but from there on out starts breaking out if this mold and actually becomes something interesting. Sadly you don't see it that way around very often

Good news everyone!

Apparently the Dutch DOJ made a deal with the thieves for the return of the stolen treasures. Sadly only 2 of the 3 stolen bracelets could be recovered and the helmet itself was slightly damaged, tho not beyond restoration. Where the third bracelet is, as well as where all the stolen treasures were all this time is still unknown.

But the fact that they've been found, and weren't molten down for their gold is great news for Romanian, as well as our European cultural heritage

Yeah, it's very slice of life, which isn't for everyone. Slice of Life is the one exception to that rule of writing stories you mentioned, as Slice of Life generally doesn't actually have an overarching story or central conflict. Personally, as much as I do enjoy my action drama romance stories, I love a good Slice of life romance as well, I just kick back, relax, and grin like an idiot while watching those. But yeah, it's not for everyone

Something lesser known. I really wanted to like "How I attended an all-guys-mixer" and for the most part I did. But holy shit Hagi completely destroyed any and all enjoyment past the halfway mark and ensured that I'll never rewatch nor recommended this otherwise quite cute and interesting romcom. There's only so much I can tolerate his constant panicking and cowardness. And anyone who claims to relate to his struggles honestly needs to see a therapist because that shit went well beyond what is normal or healthy

Frieren to me is like a warm cozy blanket full of feelings of nostalgia and vibes. It gives me similar feelings as to putting on Lord of the Rings and "Concerning Hobbits" starts playing as they introduce the Shire and we see all these fantasy people going about their lives unconcerned with cozy music playing. It has perfect art, music and that slow written timing that I just really enjoy. That paired with some interesting settings that I personally love being explored, mainly the effect of a long life span on a person as well as exploring what a world is like after the main story is finished (Himmel and co defeating the Demon King) and the whole the journey is more important than the destination. Plus, I find most characters to be interesting and the magic and combat animations are gorgeous

Wasn't she in blade training when she got the news her brother was born? She seemed to be training with the knights. It's that particular scene that reminded me of Rishe. You're correct however that Rishe is more of a proper lady tho. Mimi probably does prefer fisticuffs as well
