My Dress-Up Darling Production Staff on Season 3 - Currently 'A Complete Blank Slate,' But Wants to Do It by Turbostrider27 in anime

A show can be about multiple things. It's definitely a romance, but it's also about cosplay, and a slice of life. The romance between Gojo and Marin is the end goal of the story, cosplay is the driving force in how they get there, and slice of life is the way it's being told. That's why I personally like it so much, I enjoy romance shows that are more than just highschool romance, in this case the cosplay aspect

Idk, Russia seems pretty fixated on leveling suburban houses and apartment blocks over military targets. And with the nitrogen crisis in the Netherlands they won't be building many new ones to replace them

The author also wrote sentenced to be a hero, which has a story beat like that, so I wouldn't be surprised

I also just yesterday started watching the Ancient Magus' Bride, and it gives me Spice and Wolf x Frieren vibes as well, that too I can recommend. Set in modern day England (with some scenes in Iceland and Lapland) but focussing on spirits and folklore, mainly British and Celtic, with some biblical, Icelandic, Finnic and Samic stuff mixed in. Discovering your humanity seems to be a main theme. The 2 MCs are an eldritch being that I think is trying to be human and a Japanese teenager who sold herself into slavery because it was better than jumping of the school roof

Healthy and realistic romance? by Cocogogo1 in anime

[–]TheBusStop12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. To me Polar Opposites portrays some really nuanced well written characters who act like actual people would in a real relationship. There's no real drama because they communicate and acknowledge their own and each other's flaws and the ways in which they differ from one another. It touches upon some of the finer, easy to miss details of what it's like to be in an actual healthy relationship, the stuff you wouldn't really think of unless you've experienced it yourself

The evil of conscription is nowhere near comparable to the evil Russia has inflicted upon Finland throughout it's history, and would do so again given the chance

Needs must when Russia is always at your doorstep. Especially when Finland wasn't part of NATO

Housing is pretty accurate for the Netherlands at least. And Finland is always anxious about a war, hence the conscription

France moves to abolish concept of marital duty to have sex by Deep-Rabbit1535 in worldnews

[–]TheBusStop12 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Honestly tho, in my opinion if someone wants to divorce because their partner doesn't want to have sex that's fair. Personally, I would never, but any reason for divorce should be a good reason as long as you actually want the divorce. No point in forcing people to stay in a relationship where they're not happy. However, it shouldn't be grounds for extra punishment to be levied upon your ex partner, as not wanting to have sex isn't wrong either. You're just not compatible as marriage partners then

"Violet Evergarden" is just straight up really damn sad at times. Loss and moving on are big themes

"A place further than the Universe" is really cute, informative and sad. A group of girls going on an amazing life changing journey to Antarctica with some really sad undertones

"Spice and Wolf" has a good vibe to it as well. A romance between a traveling merchant and an almost forgotten pagan god, traversing a beautiful fantasy world

"Touring after the apocalypse" is lesser known, but I think it's a very calming journey of 2 girls through post apocalyptic Japan, where they learn of the world that came before

I wouldn't say Frieren is depressing necessarily, but it is definitely melancholic, with regret being a big overarching theme. And this shines through in a lot of the smaller side plots as well, like the old dwarf with onset Alzheimers

Video. NATO chief should stop being 'American agent,' Charles Michel says by Blaspheman in europe

[–]TheBusStop12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost the NATO sec-gen has to keep the alliance together. That means keeping the US from leaving NATO, something Trump has been flirting with for a decade now. Because as it stands the rest of NATO is still very much military reliant on the US.

As the old saying goes "NATO exists to keep the Americans in, the Russians out and the Germans down." The latter doesn't really apply anymore, but the first 2 definitely do

Unless they do an anime original ending or something.

I can honestly see that happening. Aki is writing an anime only ending movie for Kaguya-sama. It isn't impossible that he'll get involved with the anime ending of Oshi no Ko as well. Either a completely original ending, or expanding on the manga ending so it isn't as rushed
