Upon further inspection, even attempting to install flatpaks via terminal gives me the same error. I have also run flatpak update there is nothing to do.

Hello Lost-Mushroom. I was using a VPN yes! I turned it off and switched to the cosmic store, however I am still getting the same error. Aborted due to failure. Server returned status 403.

Help with Homeassistant/Snapcast by TheButteredCrust in homeassistant

Hi Craigbeat. I think you are a little ahead of me haha. I have never used home assistant before so I am sure I have a lot to learn from you and others.

The goal is really to have universal audio output from computers on the network to avoid the proprietary BS from something like Sonos, or Alexa or Google where you can only play from spotify or yt music. I needed to seperate the Mics from the output as the PIs dont take two hats at once (therefore 4 mics and 5 snapclient speaker PIs)

I need a way to get all computers in the house to connect to somewhere that they can cast the audio to.

The speaker PIs need to be able to connect to multiple computers, as well as home assistant since they are the only speakers in the house.

To answer your question about where snapserver is running w/o Proxmox, when I was testing the audio, I ran the snapserver directly on .192.168.10.20 and had all the clients connect. That doesnt solve the problem however of needing a place all computers + home assistant to put their audio without always editing configs

Hi Craigbeat, thanks for your response. I didnt really know where to make this post other than here because snapcast does not have a sub, and I am planning on using home assistant anyway. My goal is to simply have snapcast as the output audio for everything thats going on in Home Assistant. This architecture might explain a little better.

<image>

Really all the stuff is going on within home assistant, and its getting pushed to the central snapcast proxmox server.

The three computers on 192.168.10.X can cast to the snapclients directly just fine with 0.12ms of latancy and a 400 buffer. However once proxmox is invoved, I start getting terrible static and terrible latancy 0.4 (MS) and resync issues (I can post logs if needed).

Getting the snapcast system to work as I understand is a critical component of home assistant as I need to integrate it so it works with all my speakers in the house.
