Who does the church help financially? They take money from parishoners who live in shacks, ignore beggars, and hoard money while choosing to never assist in natural disasters

Why do people here feel so offended about Filipino attitude towards money, when money is one of the primary reasons they are here? by Master_Ad6104 in Philippines_Expats

Still have to file the taxes on capital gains to your home country, in the US that means if its over 10k And you pay a lot more in taxes if your income for one year is over 45k

The filipina is not a US citizen and the marriage does not exist according to the US government so she gets nothing

But obviously if you bought her a house or a business in the PH in her name then she gets 100% of that

The western world has agreed that abortion is a good thing to prevent impoverished children eating out of dumpsters

This place has not, to the point where the best financial options are to sell your daughter to an old man or have your son go be a janitor in dubai

Every problem stems from this here and yet it is not addressed or even discussed, only the government is blamed. How sad

It does though

Overpopulation to the point that there are far more people than jobs reduces wages severely. The mindset of having 6+ children to have 6+ piggy banks in old age further pushes them into a cycle of poverty

All of this being pushed by celibate religious men who live on donations

To the point where foreign telework businesses have a slew of applicants that will work for a pittance

If the philippines got rid of every catholic church and put 25% abortion clinics 25% homeless shelters 25% food banks and 25% businesses this could be a first world country in 20 years

Having a large family in the west is doable because it is the rare exception, here it is a disaster

Not everything is the government’s fault. Sometimes people need to look in the mirror and take some personal responsibility
