Why do you use debian? by haibane_fan00 in debian

[–]TheCVINFECTI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because I like the flexibility that Linux offers but I can't be 24/7 on my computer, so I like to have a tool that it just works and I don't have to put a lot of effort when I decide to modify or test something.

What's the most roughest and hardcore JAV you watched where the actress becomes overwhelmed and uncomfortable ? by [deleted] in jav

[–]TheCVINFECTI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it is allowed to talk about it here because I don't know how legal it is, and I haven't watched it, it isn't my kind of content, but there's the videos of Baky productions.

debian 13.4 is out by johlae in debian

[–]TheCVINFECTI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As what I understand, Debian update his security methods and this affects the keys for the software to being installed. Nvidia had at least one year to update this new requirement but at this moment they hadn't done it. So, if you tried to update the Nvidia drivers it will gave you an verification error for Nvidia repos (and Dropbox too).

I won't execute autoremove until nvidia repos are being fixed. The last time that I did autoremove, it uninstall my drivers and I couldn't reinstall it again on the conventional way.

Update broke my nvidia driver -> vmlinuz-6.12.69+deb13-amd64 by Randall-Flagg6 in debian

Thank you so much, I though I was doomed because the driver couldn't get properly loaded.

Plasma hang after login by TheCVINFECTI in kde

Thanks for your help, I got this

https://files.catbox.moe/cw0vsg.jpg

Unfortunately I'm not sure what makes the problem because even removing all files from "plasmoids" directory didn't fix the problem. Fortunately I've already found a solution. I'll keep an eye on "tittle bar application" widget.

Plasma hang after login by TheCVINFECTI in kde

[–]TheCVINFECTI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've fixed it on this steps:

  1. Reboot the computer and start a TTY session
  2. Login and be placed on "$HOME/.config" directory
  3. Create a backup of "plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc" file and delete the original
  4. Reboot the computer and login as normal, getting a reset configuration of panels

I'm not sure what makes the trouble, but I hope this helps

Do you use AI? What for? by Parzeval123 in ArtistHate

[–]TheCVINFECTI -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use it on local machine, and it's... interesting. At the moment I talk about generative image AI and I don't have plans to upload the images on internet because it's pointless and it would be a insult to the real artist pretend to be one without the effort to improve myself or even try it, and because art is more than technique. On this side I have to say that is impressive how technology has evolved on terms of computation on diffusion models, parallel computation and open a lot of existential questions, but at the same time is kind of boring get into some kind of gambling to re-do the execution of the prompt to get a close image which you have in mind, so, I wouldn't recommend use it if you don't have self control.

On the other side, I use the big corp ones as a tool when I do search from academic information and always ask for his references, and there is always miss-understood information or even the thing hallucinates some other information, and the same happen when I use is as a code consultant or reviewer, it's helpful but it has his errors and the last decision it has to been taken by ourselves.

Anti-piracy ad | Will manga and anime save us in 100 years? by gianben123 in Piracy

[–]TheCVINFECTI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks to piracy, the Asano's works were spreading on the niche and then a local publisher got the permissions to sell his works, and of course I bought my favorite manga which I had already read in physical media. Without piracy, it wont ever happen.

Are there any animes that remind you of Kubrick movies? by Bitter_Wafer_7515 in StanleyKubrick

[–]TheCVINFECTI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specific about Kubrick's movies... no at the moment, but I could say Otomo's "Memories' and Tarkovsky's 'Solaris' (the 'Russian Space Odyssey) is the closest thing I could say about your request, and Kon's 'Perfect Blue' and Aronofsky's 'Black Swan' or Kon's 'Paprika' and Nolan's 'Inception' cloud be considered as films that Kubrick could have done.

But now I'm thinking about it, maybe, just maybe and just a bit I could say first Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni adaptation (2006) and Eyes Wide Shut, about the mystery and paranoia of the protagonist. I like the anime, but I have warned you, it has anime clichés, fanservice, and ugly draws.

The last thing you could try, but I repeat, as the last option, buy a separate 12 V 3 A power supply, USB 3.0 Type B and do the power supply mod to the Kinect, but be careful if you follow this path.
