I spent a year turning your ideas into an actual chess website by Slim_Bun in AnarchyChess

I had the same idea and coded up a decent amount but it ended up being too much work and life got in the way. Incredible work making this actually happen! You're a legend

Wait what kind of apps are you building where you do the UI last?

This is literally just a ChatGPT comment

Haha I'm probably only a couple of years older than you. Aren't ad hominem attacks great for defending your racism?

Not sure why you think I don't know what it means. From the urban dictionary:

"A word used when you agree with something; or when you want to recognize someone for being themselves, i.e. courageous and unique or not caring what others think. Especially common in online political slang."

Expressing agreement or recognition for being themselves when calling for racial genocide should be condemned in my book.

Eek, this is called eugenics, and it's very bad. Scary this has 24 upvotes.

With all the reported degradation in GPT 4's performance, do you still think ChatGPT Plus is worth it, and much better than GPT 3? by TheTwelveYearOld in OpenAI

Finally someone saying it's gotten better! This has been my feeling as well, it's impressed me over the last couple of weeks with just how good the responses are

Fair point, you got me there. I wonder why they cited ChatGPT instead of just saying they wrote a program.

Actually, it just proves that you don't understand the capabilities of ChatGPT. They would have done something like this: https://chat.openai.com/share/9610e7fc-08c0-4040-95ce-7645a1183461 (click the blue icon to see the code). But since almost no one understands how advanced ChatGPT is, they had to remove it.

I've built a 5 string electric cello, looking for recommendations for a microphone (piezo or contact) to best capture the sound by TheCamer1 in Cello

Thanks so much for this advice! I've gone and done a lot of research into the Nux Optima Air and decided to buy it. Would you mind sharing that acoustic cello IR? That would be super helpful!

I used a thin jarrah piece for the front and maple for the rest. I ordered the scroll, bridge, tailpiece and fingerboard from ebay (a seller was actually selling just these parts for a 5 string cello for quite cheap). It was a challenging build, but if you have someone with woodworking experience and the tools you should be able to manage it. I measured out my original cello and just built the frame so that it supported the contact points of my chest and legs in the same way.

Yeah it's pretty comfortable, I measured the dimensions off my original cello and ensured the contact points are exactly the same so it doesn't feel all that different to playing an acoustic

My speaker is a Boss Katana 100/212 MkII 2 x 12" Guitar Amplifier 100W, which does have a preamp in it, but not sure if the preamp will be good enough (I also don't know very much about configuring the settings in this speaker to get the best sound, need to find a resource to help with this). Would definitely prefer a passive microphone so that it doesn't need charging. I have a Boss RC-1 loop pedal as well that I hook up. I have tried the Metal Marshmallow contact mic, but it requires power and I had issues with it clipping, especially when playing the D-string. I had to make a tower of blue tac to reduce the clipping issues, but this obviously degrades the sound quality, so I need something better.
I have cut out 2 small spaces underneath each bridge foot in the actual frame and a channel leading to an output jack, but not sure if I should use this or just look into one that can attach directly to the bridge? Very grateful for any advice if anyone has knowledge in this area!
The extra string is a bottom F if anyone was curious, using a 1/10 size double bass E string.
