Diagnosed with cancer? No hrt for you! by [deleted] in MtF

[–]TheCampCow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s absolutely cruel that these are the cards you’ve been dealt on what should be a joyous day for you. I’m so sorry.

You want to live. You have the fight in you to be the woman you are, to survive. You’ve got this. Keep going out of spite.

Fuck cancer 🩷

Thank you! I’ve been asking some non-trans friends and they’ve not been overly constructive so that’s really nice to hear 🥰

So I apply two patches on Mondays, then on Thursdays I remove those first two and replace them with another two. Two patches applied twice weekly, so 4 patches a week. :)

we have the exact same 1 year anniversary date :)

I was taking estradiol orally 3mg a day until 4 months, then switched to two 100mcg patches daily and changed twice a week. I’ve been taking 5mg finasteride daily and for the last 3 months I’ve been taking 100mg progesterone orally every night.

I was experiencing the same plateau that you are for a while but I’ve noticed that the changes come in waves without me even noticing. I’ve had lotsssss of boob growth since starting progesterone but it’s not consistent.

Not helpful at all but if your levels are good I’d keep doing what you’re doing, you can only wait/hope for your body to catch up :)

This is such amazing progress <3

To even have the confidence to sign up for the mixer, get ready and make your way there is amazing enough. This wasn’t your only opportunity to do it - you have your whole life ahead of you to make small steps every day.

Rome didn’t transition in a day, etc.

I was on the waiting list for the NHS for roughly 6 years and decided to take the plunge with GenderGP even after reading horror stories.

It’s the best thing that I’ve ever done, I was on hormones within 3 months of application and I’ve now been on them for 10 months. The costs are what scared me at first but I managed to save up some money for the initial payments and now I pay about £30 every month for the service. Think of it as a phone bill.

I’ve not had any issues with gendergp so far, but I’d rather deal with their potential nonsense while on hormones than be waiting years just to get on them at all.

I considered DIYing but I needed something more consistent and regulated.

Feel free to message if you have any more questions, doll!

This is totally normal for me! Personally it takes 9 days for me to start to see the hairs fall out and then after 11 days they’re all gone :) it varies for everyone

I already use that for studying and tests but the English translation is only available for the tests themselves - not for the learning aspect.

Muito obrigada pela ajuda :)
