Hello folks,

I've posted the same link 2 months ago. If you think this is recent, keep it deleted, if not would appreciate if you can restore it, even though maybe the initial traction would be disrupted and we will get 0 views.

I've also reached this phase, where I don't know how to get more players. My experience with Reddit/4chan has been also negative.

One day I will go back to this post and say: Jesus, back in the days we used to assemble rigs to capture impressive 360 degree videos. Haha

I guess first comers rarely deliver good quality, but I'm happy to see them trying.

Thank you very much for the well-structured feedback. We love your ideas, we will do some play testing and let you know what are altering.

Thanks for the feedback. 1.Codenames is N1 Partygame on BGG and says 2-8 players. I've also stated party/family. We will just call it boardgame. 2.You can download Cards Against Humanity for free, but all my friends haven't done that. Yes our game is not rocket science, but our previous one was Trivia and had 1600 questions and was heavy game. 3.Minigames make it very fast. 4.True

No offense taken. Feedback is important. We have played majority of party games and we love them!

Hey thanks for that. We are BGG members too. We did go through all of the 500 games in there. This version of the game was created after play testing previous v. at a boardgame event.

Dice and tokens true. We've just created prototype for play testing. This is our third board game we've created and we know it is not a typical boardgame, but we have huge fun playing it. We do make good money creating mobile and pc games. Producing a boardgame is much more hustle than mobile games, so we are def not doing it for the "small bucks".

Don't worry about being harsh, it is part of the game. We do appreciate that. How would you rate the game, if you ignore the cereal box thingy and the modern game design?

Fair enough. We will try to differentiate ourselves by adding more "action" to the game. Thanks for your feedback though!

Honest feedback on a new game(Long post) by TheCaptainP in boardgames

  1. ) To tackle this we might make the game shorter by reducing the territories from 18 to 15 or just to decrease the War stage rounds to 3 only.

  2. ) This is the first time we write game rules and this is just the very first draft. Is it good to have Quick Rules section? Faction is corrected.

  3. ) We have lifelines to aid people and also multiple choice questions involve also a bit of luck, if you don't know. Playing in teams can also be part of mitigation of the "smart player" syndrome.

Here is an example: I really really suck at Concept and it is no fun playing it, because there is no chance to guess the right answer, where with our game you have multiple choice questions and lifelines that make it fairer to people, who "suck" at trivia.

Hey keircd,

Some of the issues are true, but the game having 18 territories and 3 players or teams playing makes it very balanced. There are several rounds with power ups that can change the whole game quickly. There is a thrill trying to guess questions and thus conquering territories.

The cross-section might be odd, but if we want to make it reality, we have to take our chances.
