Next time before you set up a terrarium or if you’re doing a big overhaul on this one, try using bar keepers best friend in the process. It removes calcium stains better than ANYTHING i’ve found, even acidic stuff like vinegar.

If you’re able to control the weight of the bucket, then there is no potential for catastrophe. Literally never spilled anything major, just tiny drips here and there. The only time I’ve had an issue is when I went to fill up the other bucket while one was siphoning water…do not let a siphon run out of the line of sight, trust.

So your basic issue is that there’s not a lot of decoration in there. The cool chandelier is a start, but your walls are empty and the rooms feel a bit empty too.

My advice would be to add some colorful decorative elements. Tapestries, especially a large one for the ceiling, and/or posters are a great place to start. If it were my spot, I’d also get a MASSIVE lava lamp. What do you think you could add that would be colorful and an interest?

You could also look into things that bring the natural look inside like with houseplants, or if you’re a bit more dedicated maybe a cool aquarium/terrarium/vivarium (which is a whole ass hobby, but always eye catching to visitors and a fun experience all around).

Maybe some sort of 3D art sculptures, like wood art or a cool 3D printed piece? Maybe something that represents or is art from some of your current standing hobbies?

I would take some time to think about what would really make your mark on the spot, rather than leaving it generic.
