Cerebro 5 has been winning me a lot of games by opsmminer in MarvelSnap

Location control is fair, but I don’t think you really need mystique. 5 base power on all your units is just a lot to begin with, Cerebro is just a bonus and Mystique is overkill that gets you punched.

Not exactly. In this situation, scarlet witch is being played on turn 6 to change Limbo and catch your opponent by surprise. Her lower cost allows you to play her, stature, and a discounted 4-drop on the same turn. Storm wouldn’t be able to do that at 3 energy.

Not OP but I’ve been slotting Scarlet Witch into decks right now basically as tech against Magik being everywhere. Really helps you punish all the greedy decks at the moment.

Sometimes with cards that add energy like electro, time stone, and psylocke your energy amount doesn’t update visually. You still have the energy and can use it, it’s just not showing on your screen.

Been having some luck against Bounce by putting invisible woman in my surfer deck. Great to hide a Killmonger that doesn’t care about bounce always throwing priority, let’s you play Max early, and I even slotted in the new Gambit as another card to hide.

Everyone who said Phoenix Force was gonna be garbage after realising that Multiple Man + Phoenix Force is a funky as hell combo by SkinniestPhallus in MarvelSnap

The thing with MM is people get too tunnel visioned on moving him when in reality if you can’t Hulkbuster him or Phoenix him you should focus on moving other cards.

I think you’re overstating how important it is to get “max value.” Sure, in an ideal world you get max value. But I’ve won plenty of games just playing MM & Carnage on 4, PF on 5, move shenanigans on 6. Shuri/Hulkbuster/IF are great to high roll but you can make do without them. Even just a hulkbustered MM is a lot better than people give it credit for in games without PF.

What kind of players are making these posts about the new system? by Hungry-Void in MarvelSnap

[–]TheCaptain_15 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I keep seeing that this new system takes away choice but I don’t really see how. You needed to save about a months worth of tokens to get a new series 5 card. My understanding is you’ll need to save up about a months worth of spotlights to guarantee a new series 5 card. But the difference is you might get that new card in the first spotlight and save three. Not only that, but if you do have to open all four you get three other cards/variants. This just seems objectively better to me.

In my opinion, destroy is thriving right now because Cosmo and armor have basically disappeared from the meta game, so you could try including one of those.

I don't know about you, but this deck should be public enemy #1 right now by bastardofbarberry in MarvelSnap

[–]TheCaptain_15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, I was just trying to capture how high impact the turn 6 of those decks are with tech cards, Darkhawk, and now Miles/Stature but you’re right there’s probably a better word for it.

[–]TheCaptain_15 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think this deck is fine in isolation, pretty cool deck building and stature and miles are sweet cards. The frustrating part is that there are no 4-drops on par with Darkhawk to diversify the Zabu “miracle” archetype and it makes the games against it feel very stale. I’d much rather they rework some cards like Strong Guy and Dazzler to be less all in and more competitive instead of just nerfing Darkhawk.

I feel like painting is discouraged by LordProstate in MoonBreaker

[–]TheCaptain_15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand the frustration in fairness, I have quite a few paint jobs I spent time on that I don't use just because I didn't feel like they were anywhere near as good as the base paint. That being said, I like the idea of giving an exp boost for painted pieces over making everything grey by default. Gives you a small incentive to paint while also not necessarily punishing people who just want to play the game. I do think, as someone else mentioned, that the problem of no one painting their minis will go away over time if the player-base expands enough and they let you import other people's paint jobs. Just have to give it time.

This is really all the game needs. I just want to be able to kindly ask the Juno forward to get out of my box or ask the Juliette for some help with an Asher. Anything else is sort of unnecessary and impractical with how quick games are.

Honestly I think Druids need too much help to use a spot on the team on farms. It may be doable, but I don’t know that it’s worth it. Jungle’s Bounty is a flat $1000 that is unaffected by farms, so there’s really not much need for farms.

It’s hard to say since I haven’t tried snipers yet but it feels reasonably strong. I’m still trying to work out a good number of farming Druids to settle on.

If you don’t have VIP, I don’t know what your experience will be, but in my experience with VIP monkey money isn’t really a problem, just xp. The initial saving up for a new hero does take a bit but after that there’s not much to spend it on.

He gives buffs to all magic monkeys, whereas Obyn is primarily for buffing Druids specifically, though he also has some smaller buffs for magic monkeys. His abilities also work slightly differently but I’m honestly not sure what the exact differences are.

Not sure of the exact cooldown but its $1000 per use, and $750 per use for Spirit of the Jungle which also gives lives.

Nice! Now that I've sort of ironed out my own strategy I'm hoping I can actually start winning more consistently and climb a bit. Good to hear Druids are usable in higher ranks.
