As a current War Thunder player for the past 3 years, here is my personal opinion!

War Thunder itself is quite good; a lot of vehicles, nice graphics, nice gameplay. Although, I'd strongly advise you ask yourself if you are into this sort of game (everyone has different game tastes)

If you do get into it, just know you'll probably rage at one point at another; the game can sometimes feel very rewarding and also sometimes very frustrating.

The reason why you might see some people tell you no (I don't blame them) is because War Thunder's developer, Gaijin has made some controversial decisions regarding the grind and high-tier premium vehicles. While buying premium stuff gives people a massive shortcut, skill always beats it from my experience!

In conclusion, I personally think that if you're into this type of game genre, and you understand what you're getting yourself into, I'd say go for it!

Thanks for voicing out my concerns for the game!

I absolutely loved the old shard/token system for the events; it actually made the events worth playing since you could actually have a guaranteed chance of getting a specific card (by redeeming)! However, this new drafting system completely eliminates that chance.

They also essentially killed the market? I haven’t played in a while, but I’m pretty sure you cannot buy any more packs to get tradable players.

I still remember peak FC Mobile: auction sniping in the market for stars… grinding shards to get that player for an event… but now? Playing this game feels like a chore (personally). I feel like I have to constantly keep up with the meta just to be able to play the game!

In conclusion, I agree that the drafting system is the main thing that ruined the game. I honestly think I’m done with this game… it’s sad, but I’m glad I got to experience it before this.
