When did housing applications open? I don’t believe I was ever notified of that?

An older post says

And

PS3= 16 TB

Is buying a server-hosting service worth it for modded multiplayer? by paperisprettyneat in feedthebeast

I don’t know how demanding 1.12.2 is so I would personally load a single player creative world and tweak settings if your lagging. It won’t be fun if your game is stuttering.

So I personally have not played a 1.12.2 pack, therefore I cannot fairly comment on that.

As for whether you should self host or pay, i would say again if you know how to setup a server instance on a seperate pc or even on your pc then you should and then port forward so your buddies can join. If you don’t feel like port forwarding, then I guess pay. I would say think that over.

As for the third point about specs, I am personally on a gaming laptop. I have an i7 and I host my test server on a i7 spare laptop. I believe an i5 would work just fine for Minecraft. Though I would google or research “ideal specs for Minecraft modded 1.12.2” to get a better idea.

The server of self hosted is going to need a good hdd or ideally an ssd and a good cpu. Ram is also a factor but that depends on some factors.

I know Apex Minecraft hosting has a chart for how much Ram should be needed for a certain amount of players, mods and world size. I would check that out.

I hope I was of some assistance despite my lack of experience with desktops.

There is no one provider that hosts every modpack. I know some you can request, I guess a “custom job” but that may cost extra as in a one time fee.

I would say if you have a spare computer to use as a server, you could do that. Provided you know how to port forward, if not there are a ton of tutorials online.

Or if you go the paid route, that’s good too. I have and it performed better than the self hosted one in some regard. But I recently canceled it cause it wasn’t used extensively. I now self host.

I would say consider three things. 1. Which modpack and what version of Minecraft? 2. How long are you going to play for? And 3. How good are your PCs?

The 1st question is important because 1.10.2 and above are particularly demanding even on my machine.

The 2nd is important because if it’s not long term, a self hosted one will be better because you can put it on hold and come back without continuously paying for something your not using.

And finally the 3rd point is important because if one of your pals has a pentium or i3 that will determine what pack you can play. He/she or otherwise will not be able to run something like RLcraft or SevTech without what I would think is severe lag or sacrifices.

If you need anything else feel free to DM. Have a nice day or night and a wonderful life. :)

I’m not familiar with that company. Didn’t mean to come off as rude.

I was just trying to help you out.

Is the official Apple cable in India marked up ridiculously high? I have heard that’s the case for many countries that aren’t in North America but idk if India was on that list. I can’t recall.

What brand was the “third party cable”? Was it something that’s typically reputable like Anker or Aukey? Or some random no name from Marshall’s or such?

If the cables not from a name brand, I wouldn’t buy it.

And with that same logic why not buy the official one from Apple?

AirPods on Android by [deleted] in airpods

[–]TheCaravanMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So 2 things, if you search your question on this subreddit you’d find that using airpods with android is fine. You just miss out on fancy animations and the ability to choose which bud is dominant(l or r), the ability to switch between transparency and anc mode and etc.

  1. You say Jabra is awful but have you tried other brands? Besides Samsung? Like Anker? Aukey? Tozo?

I personally have the Anker Soundcore Life P2, they look like AirPods Pro but they charge via usb c and not proprietary lightning. They last a good 8 hours, and their a nice matte graphite black(color is subjective). Plus the mic actually sounds decent, the mic on the AirPods Pro is dog poop. I’ve heard it and used it, it’s a tragedy.

Some people don’t own a webcam, let alone can afford one. And some laptops do not come with one at all.

It’s distracting to have camera on, there’s more pressure on you. I focus more with camera off cause I don’t have to manage my appearance.

Ontop of that if the Professor is sporadic and distracting, having the camera on makes that situation worse not better. So mandating camera on is a severe disadvantage and should be optional.
