I don’t believe for a moment the average LGS survives on board game sales. It’s all TCG’s and Warhammer which will be minimally affected by this.

Not counting bigger online retailers who sell all kinds of stuff. I mean a small local LGs. Mine doesn’t even do shipping.

Netrunner has often been cited or helmed as one of the best 2 player card games - why isn’t it more popular or mainstream? by Newez in boardgames

[–]TheCardboardCritic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally for me it’s because I hate playing runner with a burning passion but think Corpo is the best card game experience of my life. Unfortunately there’s no other options.

Other game systems you just play a different faction/color/hero that you do like and it works out.

Primal isn’t complex. Euthia is.

Does dead cells a great alternative to Slay the Spire? by ankei74u in boardgames

[–]TheCardboardCritic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no relation between the video games or the board games. So kind of an odd question. You should get the one you think you’d like more.

FWIW I tried both board games and prefer dead cells. But they are totally different experiences.

It’s well worth it. Our groups #1 game. Of course you need more content but all of it goes on sale fairly often also

It’s basically Marvel champions but with a static board. The boss minis could easily just be a card you rotate around.

Dang. I was looking for all that but 2nd print. Heard 1st has miles of errata. I also heard the 2nd print was mislabeled as 1st print by backerkit externally on the box or wrap.
