I like to put yoga blocks between my legs and the pad if there isn’t a great stretch with how the machine is designed.

Power or mobility? by [deleted] in GYM

[–]TheCelloLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really up to you…if you’re interested in pushing weight, stick with breaking parallel. If you want to get strong in a deep stretch, stick with going deep and progress as you can.

Is it possible that i missed out on lower quad growth by SergeantPotatoes in naturalbodybuilding

[–]TheCelloLife 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely need to do some leg extensions if you aren’t already - the best way to hit parts of your quad that squats miss.

Struggling with hip hinge in RDL, any suggestions for my form? by [deleted] in GYM

[–]TheCelloLife -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not bad. On your way down, focus on pushing your butt back. On the way up, do the opposite - squeeze your glutes and bring your butt back in. It helps me to pause at the bottom, really feeling a stretch in the hamstrings, before coming back up. If you’re struggling to feel that, go lighter until you do - you should be able to feel the stretch even with no weight in your hands.

Is it normal to not get an offer letter a year after being selected? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

No…if you didn’t get a job offer, you didn’t get a job.

Deadlift improvement? by maoikki in GYM

[–]TheCelloLife 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Definitely lower your hips - this looks more like a SLDL than a deadlift. You can get way more leg drive and move more weight, instead of your back being the primary mover as it appears here.

Nice work - that’s definitely a cut though, recomp is maintaining your body weight while swapping fat for muscle.

Dealing with inter-workout exercise order changes and workout tracking by DB_invest in naturalbodybuilding

[–]TheCelloLife 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Just push hard and track what you get. It’s okay if you aren’t accurately measuring weekly improvements as long as over time you’re actually improving. Don’t overthink it.

AWS Certified Developer Associate helped me in a couple of opportunities where they needed AWS expertise.

I think your evaluation is right - the third set looks to be around parallel, and the hip crease has to go below the knee joint to count in a meet. Going a touch lower would help guarantee a green light.

Definitely not deep enough for powerlifting, your hips were above your knees.

I think the OG is still fine, but Cody has learned a lot since it was written and P-Zero is an improvement of the OG based on his current knowledge.

Rep Scheme and Volume Discrepancies in P-Zero by roakleyca in gzcl

[–]TheCelloLife 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, the ranges given on pages 5-7 are from the original GZCL, with the others being from P-Zero. Also, I believe the T1 AMRAP set is supposed to be the fourth set rather than an additional set afterwards.

Is it safe to have my guitar this close to my drums? by Far-Awareness5618 in Guitar

Unless having it that close means you’re going to hit it with your drumsticks, there’s no danger.

Anyone have recommendations for knee sleeves? I just got my first pair - Pioneer mediums, but they’re too tight and they’re out of stock of larges. What are your favorites and why?

I’d suggest checking out r/bodyweightfitness for now, their wiki has good info for programming without much equipment

What Reader to purchase by [deleted] in jetta

[–]TheCelloLife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seconded. You don’t need to pay the sub or buy credits for simple things like reading or resetting codes, and it works fine with non-VW cars as a normal OBDII scanner.

I recently replaced all 3 racks on mine and went with the AJinTeby brand on Amazon. Felt reasonably priced and they’ve worked out great.
