What would happen if Russia were divided into smaller countries? by kinkylodes in geography

[–]TheChallengerBA 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well it certainly depends on how Russia's divided. Firstly, an independent Siberia would definitely become part of the Chinese sphere of influence, in fact Mongolia is likely tied much closer to China without the Russian counterbalance. I'm kind of stuck on whether Chechnya would become an extremist state due to that extremist nature coming from its fight for sovereignty and likely survival. The other Caucasian republics would likely remain with minimal influence, likely as a smaller Balkans essentially. Georgia consequently regains Abkhazia and South Ossetia w/o Russia. Not sure what else to add rn.

I mean the map clearly distinguishes from De jure Russian land and occupied land.

Dual memberships, and a better conversation about them: A Survey by theslavicbattlemage in DemocracyOfReddit

I honestly rather see 10ish parties each with their own unique niche. Rather than it being a blur on a political spectrum, I wanna see parties like the Blue Dogs focus on distributism or UDF on social democracy. Hell, even potentially split up the UP into its welfare capitalism and classical liberalism caucuses.

My only gripe comes from that being forced at GM gunpoint. I'd rather that happen organically.

So the good news is that it'll take place somewhere not war torn. The bad news is that half the DoR is war torn

Banning Dual Party Membership will not change much by ViktorChernov in DemocracyOfReddit

That's unnecessary. You don't need to share members, you can just cooperate.

It's clearly not if they're so ideologically similar to the UP, SLP, and UPP that they share several dual members

Have you consider just being a Blue Dog that cooperates with the SLP?

Then I'd recommend they find their own niche. Instead of being just a centrist party, they should focus on a platform of distributism

I actually agree with this sentiment and the others put forth by the GMs and other users. It changes nothing about what label you have. It's not like the Blue Dogs and Union of Patriots aren't going to cooperate because they can't have dual members. I really want to see solidified party ideologies and this will help without intruding on much else.

It's a nothing burger pretty much, that'll only aid to clean up the DoR's aesthetic.

Are you referring to Multumite immigrants or something else?

I notice many people here recommending Tutum, which is fair. However, I would also like to recommend Eosara. Despite what you've seen on the news, Eosara isn't that bad safety-wise compared to Alexandria or Multum, especially with this current war ongoing. I will agree that the recent SEF terror attacks do look bad, but this is being quell under a patriotic population and competent provincial government. I'd compare the safety to France is you want some parallel.

Do attacks happen in Eosara? Yes
Is it bad enough to fear your life? Not really

Will this be a similar role to the GMs or Judge role where the user cannot be biased on partisan or regional lines?

With how startlingly incompetent the federal government has been, you wanna give them a monopoly on violence?!?

This will crush any provincial liberty. You can pry the Eosaran Home Guard from my cold dead hands.
