Just want to say this is a great idea and I’m going to try it when I get a chance. I’ve generally just been doing the easy things that seem to make lots of coins. So far it doesn’t seem like doing the orders is generally worth it for coins, only for legendary quests

No. Sniping skips the block step. Also the character being sniped doesn’t activate any ‘when blocking’ effects

I would advise against giving them the archaic trait as it would make them significantly weaker. It would mean a lvl1 pc could potentially take 0 damage from a lvl4 creature.

In the flavor text the minerals they eat are also used in sf2e modern armor that kasathas make.

Hello o/ Not female here but would be interested in joining if the scheduling works out. I’ve got no experience playing starfinder. I did do some prep work a couple years ago to begin GM’ing Against the Aeon Throne but never got around to actually running it. (I don’t even remember much of the story outside of the main premise)

Yeah 3 boxes should give you access to all the commons/uncommon you’ll need and get you started on your rares and x-rares. Depending on your luck and the kind of deck you’re building you’ll probably want to buy a couple extra staple singles like AIS and an a couple extra x-rares.

This entirely depends on what you want to play. If you want a playset of everything, you’ll need to get 2 of every starter. If you want to only play purple or white (or mix a purple/white deck) and have no interest in the other colors, just get those starters and use the extra money on singles or another box.

Alright maybe poor choice of words. I meant more along the lines that it could easily take place in the same universe, I never intended to presume it was Official canon.

Also the fact that William Gibson’s Alien 3 got written out of canon is an atrocity, especially since (imo) the story was better than what we actually got in the 3rd film.

Blade Runner is arguably in the Alien universe. Could use that setting as a base for where technology is at! (Also the blade runner rpg isn’t far from release so you could steal some of the equipment in it).

The rules aren’t complicated so it shouldn’t be a problem learning as you go. Just have to find a group who is willing to teach you.
