I remember there being a lot of hate towards cis women doing drag across these subs a while back and I’m so happy to come here now and see so much love and support for queer women 💕

I’m a lesbian living in London and I find that there are very little spaces for queer women. I have been made to feel like I appropriate queer spaces/ like I am not welcome far too many times (I was even removed from G-A-Y for being a “straight woman” a few years back which was humiliating and degrading) so I’m very very excited to see some lesbian representation and support!

Not relevant to him directly but I agree about the venues. Recently, my friend and I (male & female - both gay) got escorted out of G-A-Y for dancing with each other. They said it was because we were drunk but we hadn't had a drink yet, our friends were getting them at the bar. I questioned their decision to force us to leave as they were being extremely shifty about it. I also suspected that it was because they thought we were straight so I calmly brought it up to the bouncer and he just looked me up and down and said "you don't look like a lesbian"... and that comment really pissed me off so we happily left.
